Adobo far exceeded all of my expectations from food to drinks to atmoshere to decor. How can you not love the tableside guacamole. I just can't get enough of it. I could eat it everyday. Everyone at my table thought it was the greatest thing. The margaritas and other tequila drinks were so tasty. They are definitely not serving the nasty tequila from college. Plus they have over 40 tequilas to choose from so I am trying to become a connoisseur and try each one. I have been back several times and never was disappointed. I went to a monthly tequila dinners which was informative about tequila and food. You must try this place. You will not regret it. It really outshines every other Mexican restaurant.

Pros: BEST MEXICAN EVER

It was our third visit. The time was around 4:50 p.m. on a Saturday and we asked to sit outside; however, they wanted to put the two of us in the sun without an umbrella. I asked if we could sit at one of the several tables available under the canopy and we were told no because there were only two of us and the tables were for four. I then asked to sit inside and we were put by the window in the sun when the restaurant was abundant with empty tables that seated four. Again, we were told that we could only be seated at a table for two. The restaurant was nearly empty; yet, the hostess refused to accomodate our seating request. We decided to leave and upon doing so told the people at the front desk - our hostess, a gentleman, and another lady - why we were leaving. They didn't show any concern whatsoever and offered no assistance. They simply looked at us without comment or explanation. Having enjoyed dining there two times prior and even being recognized by a couple of the wait staff, we felt that their actions were completely ridiculous, especially since it was before 5 p.m. and the restaurant was not full and would not fill up during the hour we would have been there. They didn't even offer to put a two-seat table under the canopy and actually insulted us by putting us by the window in the sun after we were inside. Our polite complaints to the hostess only resulted in repeat recitals of their policy. Interestingly, the two of us had sat at four-seat tables on our previous visits. The complete lack of concern by the guy and two ladies at the desk was appalling. Although we enjoyed our previous visits to the restaurant, we won't return. Service was slow on our second visit but we were willing to overlook that when we decided on a third visit. The third visit proved to be our last.

Pros: Creative menu items relative to other Mexican cuisine in the area.

Cons: Worst service I've ever experienced in a restaurant.

It's about time...Our dinner at Adobo reminded me of recent travels at small local eateries in Oaxaca. It was hard to choose items off the menu with so many tempting flavors. Appetizers and entrees were surprisingly affordable and every taste was flavorful and inviting. Service was very friendly, although it seemed she could have been trained a little better by actually tasting the items (when I asked for recommendations, I was told which items were the highest sellers...) Fantastic atmosphere and music. Bussers and hostesses were on it. Assistant GM was extremely impressive in his knowledge of food, history of restaurant and tequilas! This is one of those dining experiences I will CRAVE until my next visit.

Pros: Authenticity, ambience, outdoor seating
