I can't rate Hunan highly enough. Whether you dine in or order carry out the dishes are consistently superb. They certainly excel in balancing the natural flavors of meats & veggies with the sauces. It's great to dishes that are not completely lacking of taste or drowning in a paste poured out of a can.

Plus, the hot & sour soup is to die for.

Their food is consistently high quality, with friendly service by the husband and wife that run this small restaurant. One of the best kept secrets on the north side, as most customers have been coming there for years. Husband (chef) was trained in Hong Kong, and his food is excellent. (the green beans are the best!)

Definitely try the double cooked pork. Their home made hot mustard for their appetizers will bring tears to your eyes. (its HOT!!)
