If it wasn't for the sauce, this place would have nothing going on for it.

I ordered a sweet potatoe pie, all out. All that was left was CHESS pie. How in the

world is CHESS pie made with a HARD CRUST, and HARD CENTER??? The pie was

very well done, so overcooked, nothing but burnt crust. Where do they get their

deserts from? I'm always willing to give a place a second try, always a bad day at one

point or another, but the DESERTS, first no variety, then what they do offer isn't worth anything. I enjoy some barbecue on bun, and rib tips though!

Honestly we tried to give King Ribs the benefit of the doubt...went to two different locations, twice to the16th Street location and once to the Keystone Ave store. Only once did we get served ribs that were edible.

When you are pregnant and crave certain foods you try to satisfy that hunger--- that was the only reason we returned after the first time.

The ribs are like eating leather, very hard and chewy. We requested tender ribs on our third visit only to be served big pieces of FAT. Based on our experiences, don't think it is possible for Kings Ribs to consistently produce a product worth another dime of our hard earned money.

Oh, the rib tips (which we tried twice) were hard crunchy pieces of burned raw hide.

All three of our visits we were told they are out of sweet potato pies.

Hopefully King Ribs will read some of the reviews and implement some kind of quality control.

  • Pros: has a drive thru
  • Cons: food is terrible-burned or full of fat

I am a fan of Famous Dave's and Squealers, but my all time favorite is King Ribs.

They are consistent in the quality of BBQ served. Their sauce is the best.

I do not dine in or order sides. I'm just there to pick up any of their BBQ pork products.

Location by location expect a long wait as each individual order may take 10 to 15 minutes.

But it is worth the wait. I recommend the 16th Street location as it has indoor seating while you wait.

Surprisingly, I found their pigs feet a new treat. Two of them are filling for 3 dollars each.

In years I have never had any reason to complain except I get hungrier by the minute waiting for my order!

  • Pros: Best pork and BBQ sauce in Indianapolis
  • Cons: Service isn't a key factor, expect to wait quite a few minutes for orders

The rib tips are awesome and the sauce is out of this world.

The owner needs to put some of the money he is making back into his business.

The speaker system has been bad for the past 3 years.

The don't serve any of the sides on the menu.

But other than that the meat and sauce are great.

  • Pros: GREAT RIBS AND TIPS- THE SAUCE FINGER LICKING GOOD
  • Cons: BAD SERVICE

What can I say this place has the best BBQ ribs I have ever eaten in my life. Hands down the best. Drive through and pick up a slab I guarentee you will not be dissapointed.

  • Pros: Best BBQ in the world.
  • Cons: Not a good place to dine in but they have drive through.

Rib tips Great, better than the ribs.

Ribs also good but the tips are more fun

Sauce excellent try a mixture of the hot and sweet that is offered.

Food may be chewy but it just makes you enjoy the flavor longer.

Recently they haven't been up to par but I still recommend. Catch them on a busy night.

The place is Carryout only. I recommend going to the near by McDonals for Fries to go.

  • Pros: Rib Tips, Sauce - try mix, chewy ribs and tips
  • Cons: rack of ribs pricey, small sides too small, chewy ribs and tips

A friend of mine recommended this place as a good hole in the wall for BBQ. I ordered the Ribs with hot sauce. The Ribs were really bad. Very Very chewey and so hard that I could not eat them at all.

The hot sauce was a little disappointing too as it was not very hot.

I don't think I am going back.
