La Hacienda on 38th St. is my favorite Mexican restaurant, for many reasons. Love the salsa, lots of cilantro and a bit spicy. Food is delicious, I love their tacos, rice, fajitas and fajita quesadillas. And you aren't locked into a typical chain menu where everything is an entree or combo. You can order a la carte and and pay like $4 for a taco and rice. To top off the experience, I absolutely can't find margaritas like theirs anywhere else. I don't know how you like yours, but I like mine strong, with Grand Marnier and a deep gold color, which is how they make the Texas Margarita. You can get a pitcher, or choose from a variety of sizes, starting with a 12 oz for 5 bucks! I don't think you can beat it. I can't stand when I go to other places and they bring me something lime green, or charge $7 to $10 bucks for 22 oz of sour mix and a shot of tequila! Try it for yourself, everything is such a great value, you really have nothing to lose. There are other La Haciendas in Indy, but this one is by far has the best food and service, if it is convenient for you. Of the others I've been to, the one on Graham Rd (Northeast) is pretty good,I'd go back, Avon is okay, I'd go back, but the one on East Washington really didn't measure up. Food was bland, service average.

Pros: Food, margaritas, value, fast service

Cons: I've never had a problem, but some would consider the neighborhood. If you're worried, go to Graham Rd location.

Upon being seated, we sat in a duct taped booth. We were fed average food with sour mix tasting Margaritas

Pros: cheap

Cons: poor food , poor service

La Hacienda means "the estate". One can't go wrong with #26? as it is an enchilada, burrito, and Chile relleno (aka: heart attack). The salsa is consistently good and they serve negro modelo! So the service isn't that great. It's the cheapest quality/price mexican you'll find in Naptown.

Pros: value, convenient off of I65, not crowded

Cons: simplistic menu, few healthier items
