Finally found the best hair stylist in Indy! by Sarah A. at InsiderPages

I used to jump from hair salon to hair salon looking for a good stylist. That stopped the day I walked into Blades Hair Design and sat down in Kimberly Smyrnis's chair. Kimberly has this way of making you feel right at home in her little pod or cubicle. She's the first stylist I've ever had that got the color of my hair just the way I wanted it. The cut was great too. If I ever feel like a change, I'd be comfortable enough with Kimberly to tell her to do whatever she wanted to do with my hair. I'm absolutely certain it would turn out perfectly. Not only is Kimberly a talented stylist, but she's also a great conversationalist. There's never any awkward silences...just plenty of chit-chat and lots of laughter. She makes you feel like you're more than just a client, but a friend as well. I would definitely recommend her to all my friends. I give Kimberly and Blades 2 giant thumbs up!!! :)

Great hair cut and color!

I got a hair cut and color from Lori and loved my results! My hair is very fine and I have had the misfortune in the past of having stylists layer my hair way too much. Lori did a fantastic job on my cut and the color is beautiful. She uses great products and is a great stylist. I will definitely be sticking with her from now on. If you're looking for a new stylist, give Lori a call at Blades. She's good!

Carol great stylist/colorist

I had an all over cut and color last week with Carol for the first time. I have been to high-end salons all over the country and she is one of the best I have been to. She looked at my face shape/skin color and recommended a cut and color that I was a little apprehensive about, but that looked amazing in the end. The price was extremely reasonable - I would've paid 2 times what I paid.

Best Hair Stylist in Indy

Want the best hair stylist in Indy? Then you have to try Sunny Krska. My mother owned her own hair salon so I never had anyone else do my hair until I moved to Indy six years ago. My son and daughter-in-law had both gone to Sunny at Jacobson's and highly recommended her. One visit and I was sold! I've told Sunny that she is truly an artist. She conscientiously takes her time and styling tools to create the most attractive hairstyle for one's face and personality. When you are approached by complete strangers who compliment your hair, you know it looks good. Talented hair stylists are rare so how happy I am that I found Sunny! She has my highest recommendation. Try her, you won't be disappointed.

Carol Fishburn is the best!!!

The one thing I treat myself to, every five weeks, is a visit to Blades. Carol has been doing my hair for two years and always nails the color and cut. I have gone curly, long, straight and short plus changed the color a few times. She is a miracle worker! She is so accommodating and the salon is always buzzing with laughter and pleasant conversation. I have sent a few of my friends to her and they are thrilled with their entire experience.

She definitely plays a big part in why Blades was voted #1 hair salon in Indianapolis!

NOT worth the $70.00 haircut or the bath in the hair sink!!!

I went to Blades salon for the first time to have my hair cut. My experience there was just not worth the price. Although I was not unhappy with the cut....I wasn't impressed enough to pay $70.00 for a haircut that in my opinion anyone could do. Another thing that I did not like was when I had my hair washed in the sink. I basically sat with my head laying in the sink with water splashing in my face the entire time. When I looked in the mirror my makeup was visibly a mess. When I left and got im my car to look in the mirror, my makeup was so smeared and ruined from bascially getting a "bath" in the sink, that I actually had to go home and wash my makeup off and reapply. So needless to say....I did think Missy the hairstylist, was very friendly, but with my experience....I won't be returning.

Sunny Krska, Best Stylist Ever!

I've been to SEVERAL salons in Indy and unfortunately the one I loved closed.

Thankfully, I've found a new place I love more! Sunny Krska is the BEST! She is phenomenal! Very hip and chic, Sunny was even able to cut my mom's hair and everyone has complimented her on it. She's pickier than I am and she loved the cut and experience.

Kimberly has been cutting my hair for about twelve years, She is very professional, very freindly, and VERY VERY reasonable. Its nice walking in and saying high. sitting in the chair , and not having to explain how you want it cut. She already knows, I would Highly reccommend her to anyone. There is no one better.

The best hair stylist in Indianapolis!

I used to jump from hair salon to hair salon looking for the perfect stylist. That search ended the day I walked into Blades and sat down in Kimberly Smyrnis's chair. At the time, my hair was long, all one length and really very boring. I asked Kimberley for help. She turned my drab hair into something completely different. She added textured layers and both highlights and lowlights to my hair. I looked like a completely different person by the time she was done with me. I never knew my hair could look that good! My friends and family all noticed the difference too. Not only is Kimberly a talented stylist, but she has such a wonderful personality too. There was no awkward silence while she was doing my hair. There was plenty of chit-chat and lots of laughing...I've never had so much fun getting my hair done. Kimberly doesn't treat you like a "client". She treats you like a sister or a friend. That makes all the difference to me. I'd definitely recommend her to all my friends and family.

I Love my Haircut!!!

I went this week to Missy Cardenas @ Blades and I'm in LOVE with my cut. It was the first time I could go run eronds after a haircut and not have to go home to style my hair. She was just perfect in every way. I heard of her off of this site, and thought everyone should know, that all the reviews are dead on with her. I liked her and the cut so much that I booked my next 2 appts.

KIMBERLY SMYRNIS.....SHE'S FIERCE!!!

This girl is a MUST see! She listens, explains and turns you into a goddess. I have known her all my life and she never fails me! I have moved away from Indy but still breeze in to town to let the only stylist I trust style, color and cut my hair. I am a professional who is out in public everyday and I receive many compliments on my hair and the products I use to make it shiny and healthy looking. Yes, Kimberly has given me celebrity hair and the instructions to repeat the look! She is so fierce, I highly recommend her for her talent and bubbly personality. I promise you won't leave without feeling FIERCE yourself!
