Worst Hotel I have stayed at
by starry477888 at Citysearch
While the ambience of the hotel is somewhat elagant I found the amenities to be lacking and overpriced. at around 140.00 a night. Wi-fi was available in the lobby but in the room 11.96 for 24 hours of high speed internet, ridiculous. A continental breakfast consisting of juice a cold bagel and small box of cereal and small carton of milk for 11.00 dollars each, again ridiculously overpriced. We did not eat there.
In this age of many hotels offering free hot breakfast, free internet I found them sorely lacking in service. Unfortunately because of a company event we had to say there. One of the desk clerks and many other empoyees were hard to understand as they had very heavy accents. I found it rude that while we were in the east meridian room many employess were speaking their own language. Were they speaking of us?
The price to park in the garage $22.00 dollars for 24 hours, once again overpriced. The room was clean but small the shower walls were a bit spotty. There was no refrigerator nor a microwave. There was however coffee. I am surprised they did not charge for that to. 2 liters of water were in the room at almost 5.00 dollars a bottle. The vending machines only took debit or credit. I will not charge a bottle of soda or water on my credit card.
I do not mind paying around 100 - 200 for a nice clean spacious motel room but I do expect there be some amenities to make my stay a bit more comfortable. I would not stay there again. I do need use my internet while staying out of town.
The "SHERATON" is a dinosaur that needs to keep up with the times.

the poor hot water supply. 2 nights with off and on hot water. It would get cold for a few minutes then get scalding hot. The morning shower was even worse. Also, they have raised the parking to $23.00. Worst hotel ever. Try the Drury Inn. Now that's a HOTEL!!!
- Pros: nada

Pleasant Experience

I had two problems while staying here. Someone had left the heat on high in the room I was given. The staff gladly moved me to a suite to give me an accomodating room. The following morning, the hot water heater in the hotel had failed. I was promptly credited for half the cost of the room. The staff was so friendly and ready to help, that I could not get upset about it. Great place to stay.
- Pros: Great room, Excellent service, Friendly employees
