Indianapolis has so few outdoor bars/restaurants with great food and people watching. This is by far the best place for 21 and over professionals to hang out after work and into the late evening. Summertime live entertainment and expansive patio make it my favorite.

  • Pros: Variety, Entertaining
  • Cons: Crowded

In Short
Using their original burgers-and-beer joint in St. Paul, Minn., as a base modl, this sports-themed chain is now a popular hangout for all ages nationwide. The memorabilia-loaded space is crowded with families and friends chatting over chili cheeseburgers, bourbon-glazed pork chops and large orders of soups and salads. On major game nights, the shiny wooden bar area is packed with small groups eyeing the monitors above while cheering or grumbling into their pints and fries.

you'll love Chammps. If you're a 21 and over superficial meat market type, Chammps is for you. If you want to be able to have a conversation over dinner or don't want to spend an arm and a leg for Average American Chain Restaurant food (the fries are the only redeeming thing) avoid this place.

  • Pros: fries
  • Cons: preppy, crowded, noisy

My friends and I went down to eat at Champps during the NFL finals, to be quite honest without knowing they were going on. We came in all dressed up and didn't think a whole lot about it. For a group of girls who aren't really into sports, we got into that night! Everyone in the restaraunt was into it, even the waiters! They still brought our food out in a great manner and we were also doing karaoke! It was a great enviroment and great all-american food!
