I've been to Studio 2000 twice. The first time was in June 2007 -- my boyfriend made an appointment for a manicure/pedicure for me before Zoobilation. My experience was FABULOUS! The best pedicure I've ever had -- I felt like I had been totally pampered. I received a gift certificate from my work and decided to use it at Studio 2000 when I came back in December 2007. I was so looking forward to the experience. Come to find out, the woman I had before had left, so they assigned me to someone else. Long story, short -- this other lady was far more interested in telling me her love-life woes instead of working on me. I'm sorry, but when I'm spending the money (and my certificate barely covered half of my bill) to be pampered, I don't want to hear other's woes -- I want to relax (and talk about my own stuff, if I so desire). And to add salt to the wound, I was very unhappy with the finished product. So, my experience with Studio 2000 went from a 5 to a 1.... so I'll give it an over all 3... I could use another pedicure at the moment, but am a bit hesitant to go back there....

I have worked in Indianapolis for 14 years now, on all sides of town and have experienced different salons. Studio 2000 has been my absolute favorite one. When I first started going there I went to Kelly (skinny thing) she was great, young and energetic. Then I latched onto Gwynn and she was and still is great. I went thru a period where this was the only salon and then in the midst of kids and finances I went to going every now and then. But I always know that when I want an awesome haircut and someone to listen, I can always count on Studio 2000. I am not afraid or nervous to go to anyone there. I am sure that everyone will take great care of me. I have referred many people. As far as the spa part of it. Absolutely fabulous. I have had rock massage, facials, maternity massage, pedicure and manicure with parrafin. I felt like a queen the entire time and totally comfortable.
Pros: Convenient to do on my lunch hour

I can't say enough great things about this salon. They accomodate my hectic and changing schedule with a smile, even when I am late. Reminder calls help me be there on time and everyone who has cut my hair is a true professional. Several of the stylists have remarked that it is a great place to work and it shows. Most of the girls that work there are very hot, but not stuck up or snooty to a dork like me and actually made me look better than I ever have. I know cause people have remarked about how good I look. I have had one massage there and all I can say is WOW! My bad experiences at other salons make me a beliver in Studio 2000.
Pros: Awesome in every way
Cons: parking during Pacer games

I found this salon is all pomp but no substance. The guy who did my "highlights" was not very good at all. He asked me what color highlights I wanted but didn't give me any feedback on what color would actually LOOK GOOD. He just went ahead and did the "highlights" but when he blow dried it, there were NO HIGHLIGHTS! Where were the highlights?! I said that it came out darker than I would've liked. He then quickly cut me off and said that I should come in next time! What a jerk! He wasn't at the least bit concerned about my feelings at all. I should've spoken to the manager but I just wanted to run from that salon as fast as I could. I'm not a cheap person, it doesn't matter how much it is, I'll pay for it but I expect a decent job! I've lived in California and went to great salons in LA and had some talents do my hair 'cause they actually cared to spend a little time to consult. All great salons do that. They make sure that what you're asking them to do is possible & consistent with a desirable outcome. It's not fair to pay anything for highlights that don't show. I would not recommend this salon; not unless you want to throw away your money. Go find a salon that is NOT PRETENTIOUS and actually cares about your concerns! After all, they are charging you for EVERY SINGLE THING- coloring, shampooing, blow drying, sitting there. There's better out there. This IS NOT IT. It's only for the foolish who actually THINK they're getting great talent because they're located in a pretentious part of town!

I was from out of town trying to find a good place to get a cut and thought i'd try them out based upon other user reviews. They were able to schedule an appointment for me the day I called and Tara, my stylist, did a great job - giving my difficult and flat hair some life and style. I truly recommend this place!
Pros: location, friendly, professional
Cons: parking

Wow. ...I had a deep tissue massage at Studio 2000 from the therapist named Karen. I have to say it was painful at first but wow...the results were incredible. I have had deep tissue massage at other places before and NEVER had this type of massage. Karen was very skilled and managed to work out the soreness I have had for years. Best massage I have ever had. I am a repeat customer

My girlfriend and I discovered Studio 2000 after I moved to the downtown. It has been an awesome experiance from the beginning. Front desk staff was really helpful in getting us in when they are booked. We have had massages, pedicures and are now regular customers of the salon. It's really great on Sundays when we can roll out of bed and go get spa services after brunch! My girlfriend goes there more than I do for her nails and her highlights. I reccomend Dave for his Hawaiian Lomi Lomi massage and Gwen for our cuts. They carry a cool line of Italian products that we can't get anywhere else. All and all it's a real class operation.
Pros: staff, facility, reputation

A friend had mentioned this salon and dayspa to me after a terrible "mishap" somewhere else. I was surprised to see such a large, beautiful salon the Studio was. Getting there was kind of tricky but it is truly a find once you get there. The staff was young, caring, and did a beautiful job on my fine, straight, hair. I would highly recommend this salon and dayspa to anyone. I noticed that they do have something for EVERYONE!
Pros: fun, caring, knowledgable
Cons: parking
