Have always Loved Acapulco Joe's
by Gma at Citysearch
There is NO better REAL mexican food in this city that can compare to Acapulco Joe's. A lot of us remember Joe visting with us when he had the Diner across the street. His mexican food is totally best. I have been going to this place for 34 years. We usually go when there is something to celebrate. (or we think of something to celebrate and go to Joe's) It's the queso to the Joe style tacos that make it. Anyone that disagrees needs to live with the new black tacos at Taco Bell and has never visited Mexico. Because this place is ROCKS. Long live Joe and Kate Smith!!!
- Pros: Best darn mexican food in Indy
- Cons: Not any on the westside of town

Food and staff are great. Salsa and chips very fresh. Apparently the reviewers who don;t like it are used to Taco Bell.
- Pros: Fun
- Cons: none

I guess Joe's must be a hit-or-miss place, b/c those who like it, LOVE it, but those you don't, HATE it.
I've had nothing but good experiences at Joes. Good food, good prices, and a great atmosphere to hang out with friends. I've been going there for almost 10 years now, and I've never had a bad experience with the food or staff.
- Pros: Great atmosphere and price
- Cons: The parking : (
Awesome Food, Great Atmosphere

Joe's has been a favorite of my family for 25 years. You can always count on large serving portions, great taste and fast service. Don't let the line at the door scare you. We have never had to wait more than 15 minutes to be seated. The Chili con queso is to die for. And the prices are fair. Thank you Acapulco Joes for remaining an Indianapols legend all these years.
- Pros: Great food and Service
Great Food, Great Servers

Joes is the best! The chili conqueso is the best in town. The taco meat melts in your mouth. Everything is homemade from the chips to the salsa. I only wish you could buy the salsa at the grocery. The servers are great and have been there for years. Don't miss this hidden gem.
- Pros: food, price
- Cons: crowded lunch

I absolutely LOVE "Joe's". My friends and I have been going to the downtown location for the last 16 years. Finally they have one on US 31 South and one in Brownsburg!! All I can say is......Chili Con Queso!!!!! If you go, it is a MUST. Food is wonderful, prices are great and service is very very fast & friendly. You've got to atleast give it a try..

For as long as I can remember, Joe's has been in my life. My dad brought me there for the first time when I was 2, and I've continued going there until now, 18 years later. The food is something I would pick over a homecooked meal anyday. I took my boyfriend there for the first time a month ago, and he can't stay away!! The service there is something that I have never seen. They are prompt, courteous, and convey a very "home-like" atmosphere. I also love the casual atmosphere and dress attire.
Don't Miss Joe's

Joe's is my favorite restaurant of all time. When we were living in Indy (for 16 years) we ate there AT LEAST once a month. Now I make it a point to eat there EVERY time I am in town. I had the honor of meeting Joe on many occasions when we were in the restaurant. He was a wonderful man with great storys to tell about how he came to Indianapolis. Don't Miss the experience of eating at Acapulco Joe's!
- Pros: Great Food, Friendly Service, Good Prices
