Excellent Service & Delicious Food
by hoosierkelly at Citysearch
I have eaten at Ruth's Chris for both business and pleasure and have always had a great experience! The northside location does a fantastic job in accomodating groups for business presentations (haven't done this downtown). Their servers are extremely attentive, but in just the right doses. Each time I've gone to either location to celebrate something special, they always give us a little something extra at the end of the meal ~ be it a glass of champagne or chocolate covered strawberries. And the food is top notch! Their petite filet is my favorite out of any steakhouses I've been to... it always comes out warm and sizzling on the plate (and covered in yummy butter). Only one place in Dallas, Texas rivals it. But as far as Indy is concerned, they are the best! And my absolute favorite dessert in town is their chocolate souffle. It is to die for! I prefer Ruth's Chris over Morton's, Peterson's, Sullivan's, Flemming's (although I've only been there once) and St. Elmo's by far.
- Pros: Service, Steak, Desserts, Ambience
- Cons: A tad expensive (but worth it!)

Great place for a nice dinner. Everything from atmosphere, service, friendliness of staff/management, food was excellent. It was a bit expensive but well worth it!!! We will definately be back.
- Pros: Food, Service
- Cons: Parking but to be expected at location
Ruth's Chris Restaurant = The SAKS of retail
by kenlee at Citysearch
Let's get honest. An Industry consists of it's people. You go to Ruth's, you expect the BEST; you go to SAKS FIFTH AVENUE; you expect the BEST. When I go to either, I get what I expect. Keep up the good work Ruth's I rely on you. I love New Orleans and I love YOU!!!
- Pros: educated-staff, Professional, Historically-Romantic
You get what you pay for and more!

I see that people keep mentioning the price. I think for the service that you recieve and the food it is well worth it. I remember the first time I took a date there she got up from the table and when she returned her napkin had been refolded and put back on the table. She was suprised and as far a service they have a different person for everything. So with that kind of service you must expect to pay a little more. As far a the steaks. I think they are great, they don't add a lot of seasonings or cover the steak with anything like other places do because of the quality of meat. I go quite often and recommend it to everyone. They also have a location on the Northside of Indianapolis that is great also.
- Pros: Great Service, Great food, Great Atmostphere
- Cons: , parking
WONDERFUL ALL AROUND!!!

My husband has taken me to Ruth Chris for our anniversary every year. And we have never been sorry. And we visit Ruth Chris usually 2 other times through out the year. The food is always wonderful. The service is alway great. And there has never been a time that we have went and not had a great experience. It is great for a night out or just a romantic dinner. We love Ruth Chris. It can seem expensive but you pay for what you get. If you want great service and quality of food then you have to pay the price for it.
- Pros: Great Service, Great Food, Great Atmosphere

Yes, Ruth's menu is expensive , my 16 oz ribeye was $32.95 and the bill came to $89, but we have never been treated so well at a restaurant! Not to mention the steaks were great and the dessert was heavenly! If you have an extra $100 treat you and your spouse at leats once!
- Pros: steaks, choc mousse cheesecak, location

Absolutely incredible! I couldn't say enough great things about them. We were in a large group and everything arrived at the same time EXACTLY as we ordered it...No wondering who ordered what and perfectly cooked with unbelievable flavor. With the prices as they are, that is expected. However, the service we were given and care they took to make sure we had whatever we needed, went well above and beyond the call of duty. The manager even stopped by a couple times and chatted with us. (like I said... large group... I doubt they would interrupt a romantic dinner for two) We have one here in CA where I am from and the service can't even compare. I go to Indy every year and stop in every year. Thanks!
- Pros: Service is great, Food is the best
- Cons: none
Wonderful Beginnings
by katmage at Citysearch
The atmosphere hits you the moment you walk in and takes you back to a time when all "in" places were like this. It promotes easy conversation and romance.
The bar has the most extensive collections of imported beers, liquors and wines I've seen in a long time. The food is cooked and served New Orleans style and the portions are over plentiful. For the romantic couple it is best to share because the portions are that large. For a romantic dinner try the steak for two, it is the best way to go, sharing the atmosphere and the food together. The serving staff also makes the experience worht it. If you are taking your love one out on the town this is the perfect beginning to that night.
- Pros: Service, Excellent food, atmosphere
- Cons: Expensive

This place is great! Some may say that it is too expensive but it's worth it. When I went to the bathroom wht did I find, but T.V.'s over the urinals. No expense was spared. Just GREAT!!!!
