I was a regular reader of the Southside Times long before I became a contributor. It used to be known as the Perry Township Weekly and has always been distributed free throughout the Indianapolis suburban south area. Its strengths have always been its close ties to the local community and support of local churches, schools and civic groups. Advertising rates are very reasonable and the editorial staff is cooperative.
Pros: Lots of local news, classifieds and school sports - Torry's Top Ten ... gotta plug that!
Cons: Not much in the way of state or national news
