Despite what the last reveiwer wrote, this restaurant/bar is a great place to meet up with friends, old and new. You must be 21 to enter the bar area, where they serve the entire restaurant menu in a casual bar atmosphere. The restaurant side is less noisy and also enjoyable. I enjoy all three microbreweries in downtown Indy, but prefer the Hefeweizen here! Very banana-y! I've also met the brewmaster, Clay, and he's great! This restaurant is non-smoking (excellent!), and they have an outdoor patio on Illinois street.

Pros: Excellent Beer

Cons: A bit pricey, but hey, it's downtown!

Ok, let me keep this short and sweet...drinks lame, service lame, food lame, the atmosphere...well it's a mix of romance mixed with a sports bar...do the two actually mix????

Pros: Big booths!

Excellent food and a selection of beers that hasn't let me down yet! Particularly for a chain, this is great stuff!

Located in the heart of downtown Indy, RAM is within walking distance of most of the downtown attractions. The atmosphere is on both ends of the spectrum depending on whether you turn left or right after entering. On the left is a nice low-key restaurant, on the right is a sports bar. they offer a sampler and have growlers available as well. The beers are all above average for the most part. The service was good when we visited. I thought it was humorous that the staff all wear shirts that read "Drink naked". They are proud to serve their Hefe sans lemon! The food here is pretty darn good. The Buttface Brat Burger was especially tasty. The RAM is right across the street from Alcatraz and not too far a walk from Rock Bottom, so it should be a stop in anyone's downtown Indy trip.

Pros: Great food

Great place to go to prior to the COLTS games. Great food, good service, one block from RCA dome.

Editor's Review

Sip a Buttface Amber while taking advantage of nightly food and drink specials, including all-you-can-eat ribs and fish-and-chips.  See the full editorial review.
