Rude Receptionist. I had taken my friends cat to Eastwood a few years ago to get fixed. The operation cost more here than anyplace else but it was convienent. They did a decent job, so I thought I would take my 10yr old dog there for vaccinations(those were very reasonable) and for a yearly skin issue he has. I have a beagle lab and what all the vets have told me that it was a flea allergy. My dog lives outside in the country and gets flea treatment everymonth. What this old doctor at Eastwood said, was that it was a flea allergy, but instead of giving him prednizone like the other vets did he gave him cortasol. That seems to work so much better, so I was happy that maybe i found something that works. Well this year he started again biting his butt, but has been checked and has no fleas. So I went to the vet thinking that since they had had his prev records, they could give me more cortasol. Was I wrong! The receptionist by far was the rudest person, and had absolutly no personable skills. She said the vet would have to see the dog again. I would understand if this was a new problem, but even the vet said when i had taken him in, it would happen again. She just did not seem to understand that my dog was super uncomfortable from constant knawing at his butt. Granted I did not want to spend the money for another visit for the same damn thing that he always has and I know what it is. I tried and tried to explain that my doggie stays quite far away from the vet, but I began taking him here because the doctor seems knowldgable, and what he did helped better than other vets. She was not having it. & when I told her he was just given a bath and checked and had no fleas, she said well the doctor will need to check for fleas. I have had dogs all my life! I think I know what fleas look like and where to check for them. I WILL NOT be taking my dog back here ever again. I hate rude people who are incompetent. I will take him back to his regular vet and just tell them what I want to give him. Vets are like people doctors I have noticed, they dont listen to what you want, they just do what they can to take your money and keep you comming back. Please be very cautious when using this vet.- the doctor is knowledgable but is also kinda rude and overspeaks you, because he knows all, and you know nothing.
