Very disappointing for an Embassy Suites. This hotel used to be in good shape, but has become rather tired looking. The escalator was broken all 5 days of my stay and directions on how to get to the second floor elevator were not posted. Our first room had carpet with tears and dirt spots and sofa was old. We were moved and this room was a bit better, but there still was a tear in the rug and the shower door would not stay shut. A group of kids kept us up until 1 a.m. the first night. The bell staff, while very friendly, did not seem to be well staffed all times of the night. The air conditioning could only be used for 6 months of the year; same for the heat. This made for a very uncomfortable room. The rest of the staff was very good, but seemed apologetic at times for problems that were beyond their control. Needless to say, the hotel was not anywhere near the quality expected from an Embassy Suites and despite a great location, I would not stay there again.
