Just like mama used to make..... I know Cuban food and this is GREAT Cuban food. The Cuban sandwich is served on REAL Cuban bread. That makes all the difference in the world.

I have so many favorite dishes, that it's hard to pick one. I'm partial to the Ropa Vieja, Picadillo, Baked Chicken, and Arroz Con Pollo.

Oh, and I can't forget the best mojitos in town!

The owner, Alfredo Gonzalez, is warm and welcoming. There is happy Cuban music and videos in a very lovely restaurant. He has a domino table and loves to play and make his customers feel like they can come here and relax and eat and have a good time.

The downtown setting is very nice. There is some outside seating, which is great on a summer's evening.;

They are busy at lunchtime, and have many returning customers.

The only drawback is downtown parking. But if you can't find metered parking, there is a parking garage right across the street.

We've had two dinner events here with over 30 people each time, and Alfredo and his staff provided food quickly and it was all perfectly prepared. Everyone loved it.

If you aren't familiar with Cuban food - it's not hot and spicy like Mexican food. It's savory. There are blended flavors with fried plantains adding a bit of sweetness on the side. And if you like coffee - try their Cafe con Leche!

I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. Give it a try!
