Not as full service as one might expect – Air Quality Control Agency's radon remediation work order stated that "A post-mitigation radon test is included to confirm radon removal." Although a normal person would expect them to install the remediation system and do a post-mitigation test to confirm radon removal, it turns out that they just leave a box in the basement for the homeowner to do the testing himself. This is a problem when (a) the house is completely vacant and the homeowner is several states away and (b) the company never tells the homeowner that he needs to do the test. After I became concerned and called that there was no testing followup, I learned that the company supposedly does not have a single person "licensed" to test for radon (unless you pay an extra ~$200 and magically an employee can use the test kit). The radon results finally arrived almost two weeks late and could delay the closing of the house's sale.
Imagine if you hired a maid cleaning service that promised "a bathroom clean is included" but the company only leaves a box with some cleaning solution for you to do the bathroom cleaning yourself. I am surprised that Air Quality Control didn't dump the radon remediation equipment on my lawn and have me do the installation myself too.
