My boyfriend gave me a gift certificate to this place. I have never had a massage before, so instead of calling the place, I decided to go there in person to book my appointment. My gift certificate was close to expiring, so I needed to book my appointment asap. I went there on Oct. 13 '11, there I was assisted by Tracy. I found her very odd because she didn't have any recommendations for me as a first time client nor did she ask me for my personal preferences when it came to choosing what/how I wanted things done. I told Tracy that I wanted to book the appointment the Friday of next week (Oct. 21st). She confirmed the open timing then wrote down my information--from my name, email address, my phone number, etc. and told me that my appointment was confirmed for that Friday. I asked her who will be doing my massage, she said, it will either be her or Jennifer, since they are the two who do the hot stone massage.
Well, Today is October 21st (the day of my appointment) I showed up for my appointment 35 minutes early to make sure I was prepared. I was a little nervous, since I didn't know what to expect. A few minutes later, I get greeted by a male. I let him know about my 3 o'clock appointment, as logged into his computer, he seemed very puzzled. He goes, "are you sure you have the appointment today at 3?" I said, yes, of course I do, I am just a little early. He asked for my name, couldn't find me in the system. Then he asked, if I knew whom I was speaking with last time? .. I said I believe it was Tracy. He went back to hear from her about the situation. After a few giggle and whispers, Tracy approaches me and says, the person who does the massage "Jennifer" is not here today. Then says, she has 6 kids and is a busy person. (:O what?!, really lady?... she's a busy person?! and I guess my time isn't as important, is it.. huh?.... ) I said to her, none of that should matter, my appointment was confirmed, and I believed you had wrote all my information down, so what really happened? Tracy didn't seem like she really had anything to say, instead she said that she'll add something extra to my 90 minute massage. I didn't want to argue.. so I left.
The experience, without getting a massage, was horrible. They were very unprofessional and unapologetic. I am glad that I didn't waste my money buying their service, if it wasn't for the gift certificate I wouldn't have gone into that place! I am shocked to see that this place has almost 4.5 stars!!! Unbelievable !!
Oh, and I still don't have a confirmed appointment, because currently the therapist, who should have been giving her client the time, is busy. For as expensive of a place, their customer service and satisfaction is terrible. They really need to work on some things! THE TRUE RATING OF THIS PLACE SHOULD HAVE BEEN 1 OUT OF 5.
Be aware of Beau Visage.
We purchased two coupons for Beau Visage through Groupon and visited them on Aug 27th, 2011 (I am giving the dates of my visit so that anyone can confirm if my claims are true)
They first started off with my husband. Tracy did a facial for him. He had a small pimple on his right eyebrow. Tracy used some sharp object to remove the pimple. Blood started bleeding out of it and she told him that it would be fine in another two days. On the contrary, after two days we noticed that a hard (un-removable) thron like projection started to grow from that area. Its still there and we have to visit a Dermatologist to see how it can be removed.
Next was my turn. Tracy started with my facial. On my right chest, I had a small black thing in my skin. It has been there for several years and it never disturbed me. She said that it is a pimple and she will remove it. I told her not to do that as it has been there for ever and it is not a pimple. She still insisted that she will remove that for me and went ahead and used a sharp object on it. It was so painful when she did that. She soon realised that is not a pimple and it cannot be removed. She apologized for the pain and said that it will subside in a while. We returned home after the facial. In two days, a big abscess (fungal infection created under the skin) started in my right chest in the same area where she used the sharp object. I rushed to the Doctor and the Doctor was shocked to see the size of the abscess. He gave me few medicines and I was asked to be on rest for the next one week (without giving much work to my right hand). The abscess only grew in size and after one week, I was asked to see a Surgeon to remove it. I was again asked to stay back at home for 10 days for the wound to heal.
I ended up spending $2000 to get rid of my abscess and I was not paid a month's salary as I had to stay back at home during the whole turmoil. Beau Visage taught me a great lesson of not believing a business just by its reviews. Who knows...the owners and employers themselves would have give the best reviews in Internet. After all that I went through, I called up Beau Visage and spoke to Lora, who called herself as the Manager. She said she will enquire about this and call me back in a day and I havent heard from them every since.
Please be aware of the consequences before you decide to step into Beau Visage. I have passed this on to all my colleagues and friends and I am writing here to warn any other prospective customer of Beau Visage.
Please Note: I am not a competitor for Beau Visage. I am a Software professional working in Indianapolis. I underwent too much pain for the past one month and hence taking time to write this in detail.
Great Downtown Spa!. This was my first visit to this salon and I greatly enjoyed the girls day out with two friends of mine. Between the three of us, we tried the Swedish, Deep Tissue and Prenatal massages. Each of us were very pleased and are already planning our next trip. The spa is very nicely decorated and just has a relaxing atmosphere from the moment you walk in. A great place, I can't wait to go back!
Totally different experience.. Are you kidding...? Just go to Beau Visage one time, ask for an owner for any reason, and see what you get! Try that someplace else. Insane customer service.
For a change!. I felt so comfortable at Beau Visage I couldn't believe it. Compared to other spas in town their personal service great. I stayed 20 minutes after my appointment just because of the conversation I was having with one of the owners! Location is really fun too...right downtown. Tracy gave me a chemical peel and my results are amazing.
Best service around!. All I can say is wow! Great service, very kind staff, one on one treatment, and gorgeous decor. I treated myself to one of the best deep tissue massages and a great chemical peel. Despite the downtown location, the parking situation was quite easy. All in all, I had a great treatment and service without the feeling of the typical uncomfortable spa feeling I've had at other spas. Great job girls!
