I was really looking forward to a half a day of pampering and it turned into a nightmare. When I had booked they told me that it would take 4/5 hours maximum. After 6 hours, two cancelled work meetings and the opposite color of what I had asked, I just decided I had had enough and left without blow drying.

Not great. I was really excited to try this place out as I had a good experience at a training salon in Mpls. I went in for a pedicure, manicure, and brow wax. My pedicure and brow wax ended up being good quality, but my manicure was horrible. It chipped the next day. While I was happy with the end product of the pedicure, the pedicure took 2.5 hours to complete. And the person complained the entire time. About the weather, about Indianapolis, and about her next appt, which was a manicure, and it just happened to be me. Seriously? Needless to say, I won't be heading back. I ended up more stressed than when I went in! I should add that my guess is that I ended up being serviced by a bad apple, but I was pretty concerned when she said that she was close to graduating.

Fabulous experience. I went for a simple haircut- ends trimmed with some long layers added in. At $17 a pop, you cant beat it! Not only was the student stylist, Hillary, totally professional and confident, but the teachers are around constantly for quality control, so fear not- this is not the beauty school experience you would expect. Id like to note that the place was packed when I went, and I saw many women leaving the place with fabulous hair. Aveda really is teaching their students to go above and beyond. Also, I was pleasantly surprised by the freebies- a scalp/neck /shoulder massage in a darkened room, followed by a deep conditioning and mini facial in the shampoo room- which might I add is totally cool and new age with its dark,modern interior, soothing music and domed ceiling that looks like a night sky with hundreds of glittering stars. All of this for less than $20! My hair feels and looks amazing, not to mention the makeup I put on to go out later that night went on extra smoothly thanks to my facial treatment. Im definetly going back to the Aveda school again; highly recommended.

Wonderful experience. Was a bit cautious when coming for Rosemary Mint Body Treatment and Facial. Checkin desk was prompt and courteous. Student was very professional and explained what she was going to do. Very impressed with techniques of student. I felt very relaxed and soon forgot I was in a teaching center. Results were wonderful. They use all the latest things. Prices are very cheap compared to other salons since they are all students here. Supervisors are keeping an eye on students so no reason to fear. Hope to get back soon to try other services. Also, no tipping allowed.
