Horrible, Horrible, Horrible. As bad as it gets. The Scotch Eggs we had were disgusting, even after eating only half of one I became sick and my boyfriend felt nauseous all evening afterwards. The owner was very smug, and seems to be struggling with "little man's" complex. The service was sub par and I can't think of a single reason we should return. STAY AWAY!!!!! You really need to Check This Place Out. What a charming surprise this restaurant was. I know my friends were pleased as I was with just how good the bar food was. The hamburgers we outrageously good and my blackened chicken sandwich and steak fries were deliciously good. I can recommend the lemon drop martinis since I had 5 and my friend said the choice of beers were numerous and quickly found a favorite. We had a wonderful time and I am sure you would agree if you visit the pub.…
Negative reviewers are on crack or trying to sabotage place. First of all, I have always had great service when I have been in this place. Even when it is very busy, servers have been polite and timely. Maybe it's because I am polite(restraureview?) and not confusing this place with a nightclub(looking at you, klenny). The food is classic pub food which is prepared well and quick. The beer menu is enough reason to go. It is amazing!! Nice tap offerings, including lots of locals, and huge bottle selection. When you go, check out the bathrooms. Women can enjoy great pictures of Sean Connery and men get tongue dragging pics of Ursula Andress and Halle Berry(Bond girls). klenny was WRONG. I almost didn't go to Mac Nivens due to one bad review. What a mistake that would have been. If you want a laid back, comfortable place to grab a local beer and enjoy some unique and tasty PUB food, Mac Nivens Restaurant is the place. Our server was fast, friendly and efficient. The place was clean and inviting, and luckily for us, and everyone in there, klenny got the hint and took his business elsewhere.…
macnivens sucks. if you are looking to have fun don't head here! i went to macnivens with some coworkers to celebrate the holiday season! while being there i was told once by the waiter that "it wasnt that kind of establishment" and also told to watch my language because in the bar area i called my friend/coworker a bitch and across the way they have 18 year olds so god forbid you say bitch loudly in the bar area! we talked to the manager and she told me she could hear me in the back so i was too loud....awesome thanks manager for making the customer right....essentially the waitstaff is rude the manager sucks and even though i live 1 minute away and i've been there numerous times over the past year i will never go back!…
