WORST PLACE TO GO FOR WEDDING DRESS AND ACCESSORIES!
by Purdie at Citysearch
Even if A Bride's Dream is close and convenient, save your time and go some place professional! The first time I tried going in the shop owner and an employee looked at me like "what are you doing here?" I then asked if they were open, and they replied "yes, but we really prefer to take appointments." That would have been really nice to know when I had called them an hour before asking if they were open and then drove all the way there.
They ended up having an appointment arriving in 15 minutes and asked me to leave. So unprofessional. Maybe this sort of thing would happen in NYC in a beauitful, upscale boutique- but this place?! After finding my dress elsewhere, I was trying to find a veil and thought that maybe I could stop in and get one since I was on that side of town anyway. I called this time due to my bad experience showing up and the owner told me that today was too busy and that there is no way I'm bringing my dress (purchased at another store) into her store.
The owner should be ashamed at how she treated me and others that I have talked to. I love to see small businesses thrive, but if I see a "for rent" sign on her door next week, I will definitely understand why. Word of mouth supports small business, and be assured that I will let every friend, non-friend, and review know just how awful my experience was.
Horrible wedding coordinator, bad services

Her name is nancy, she is crude, rude, unprofessional and does not do any kind of justice for her services. My brother got married and she made it into a outdoor trashy wedding. Then she comes after my son who is autistic and tells me to "corral" him. Which ruin my time at my brothers wedding. Then stuff got stolen during the wedding she is in every picture that the family tried to take. Then on top of all that she served hard liquor when there should have never been. DO NOT USE HER UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR WEDDING RUIN AND FAMILY HURT AND UPSET
- Cons: rude, crude. unprofessional
Professional and personable

I called and set up and appointment and they allowed me to come in on a Sunday afternoon, where they actually shut and locked the door behind me to let me have time with my matron of honor to try on dresses without any outsdie interruption. It was wonderful, it made me feel so grand. Like I was someone famous. Faith (the assistant manager) was so kind and helpful, yet she was so knowledgable and professional! There are dresses for any body type, and they also have sells comparable to David's Bridal.
The best part is that they are not a large corporate chain, so they actually care about they customers not just what they purchase.
Very Nice and Helpful

I walked in and was helped immediately even though they were busy. I didn't have anyone with me, so I was needing someone to help give opinions and zip up and everything, that they did it all. They didn't pressure me to buy anything, and held the ones I liked for me to come back with someone. Lisa is extrememly nice, and so is the new girl (didn't catch her name). I would recommend checking them out if you need a dress.
I Wouldn't Recomend Them

The owner of this shop is horrible with customers! I went in to try on a dress and because I'm not "officially" engaged she demanded I take it off on the spot. She was very rude and I would not recommend them to anyone. I now have a ring on my finger but I won't be returning to this store
- Pros: some of the dresses are priced somewhat reasonably
- Cons: horrible service
