Editorial Review for Ye Old Library Restaurant – by Marc Allan
In Short
The Carnegie Foundation paid to build the library in 1913, and it served the community in that capacity until 1969, when it became city hall for 20 years. Today, it's a handsome restaurant with dark wood and sections of tables separated by full bookshelves. Diners generally dress for dinner, but casual is acceptable too. The menu, which changes seasonally, includes standards like steaks and fish as well as more exotic fare: venison, rabbit and ostrich.

We had 6 people in our party and were there in the middle of the afternoon. There were people at tables outside enjoying the weather and drinks. We chose to sit inside and had a fabulous time and meal. The servers were attenative, helpful and accomodating. The owner was also very personable and stopped at our table to chat as well. We had a great time!
Pros: Atmosphere and staff
Cons: Not that any of us were but didn't seem handicap friendly

This is my first-time message but I felt that since I found the resturant here that I should let everyone know of my wonderful experience. I made reservations on a Saturday night at 6 o'clock for 8 and everything was ready upon arrival. The resturant has a great atmosphere and the owner introduced himself to the table and anwsered any questions we had. I loved their pasta du jour and everyone was very happy with their meal. I will return and you should check it out. Its worth it.
Pros: Ambience, very romantic setting
