Check it out for yourself!. Brix is still imaginative and always pleasing even after being open now for over 4 years...(which is rare anymore for any Indianapolis independent.) be sure to check it out for yourself and double check the info listed here....Citysearch is very outdated in Indianapolis. Brix no longer does Brunch and isn't open 7 days a week....i also think it is improperly listed as a "bakery." I have emailed citysearch and they don't seem to be on the ball. Brix is definitely more of an American Bistro and changes its menu seasonally. It is a very unassuming yet romantic and stylish atmosphere. Kids are welcome as far as I know, but I have to say like so many other restaurants, I wish parents would bring the misbehaved ones early in the evening and keep the dinner hours reserved for the well behaved children. I digress. Brix is highly recommended and should not be missed!

(One side note--I was very impressed last time I was in with 3 other diners. One of my guests wasn't crazy about a particular spice used in his dish (he said it was just too spicy for his taste) and the owner (or manager?) happily took the entire dish off of our bill and quickly replaced his dish. No questions asked. We even got a free dessert. I was very impressed!

When did Zionsville get this hip?. We fell upon this little diamond in the rough while exploring the Zionsville scene one night. I work in the food and beverage industry and travel to big cities often. I was totally surprised by the diverse and extensive wine list. You can find varietals here that are not seen in other Indianapolis restaurants. The atmosphere and food were also unpredictably perfect. The restaurant was loud as noted by other reviews- but we were not bothered and still able to have a good conversation. We did not have problems with our server- everything went smoothly and without complaint. I will definitely be going back when I am in the area- do not overlook this one just because it is a little unassuming from the outside.

Great food. The wine list is very good and varied. The owner is obviously well versed in international wine. We split the luscious ostrich appetizer-- melt in your mouth medallions with a balsamic sauce and green apple. I had a surprisingly spicy jerk chicken. The dishes were plated very nicely, pretty without being fussy. Seating outside is very pleasant. We could have been at a restaurant in any major city in the US.

Our waitress could have used a little training in understated service. The people seated behind us could have been either quieter or much more interesting. Still, it is a great neighborhood restaurant. We will go back soon.

A world-class bistro in Zionsville of all places!. This past weekend, my wife and I went Brix in Zionsville and had a superb time. The food...beyond wonderful: I ordered a Scallop appetizer (my wife got a fabulous barbecue and bacon shrimp appetizer) that was incredible, with great mushrooms and a some roasted pecans....for dinner I grudgingly had the Salmon (my wife chose the surprisingly good meatloaf, which I thought would be slightly out of season, but was incredible too!

We split a cheese and fruit platter for dessert and had a bottle of excellent Italian Pinot Grigio.

The service was excellent, despite their being VERY busy, and the amazing chef, Warren--he looked about the age of my eldest son--came out to talk to us.

(our server also told us that they had a half-price wine special on Tuesdays...don't know how long it will go on, but since we love wine, we'll definitely take advantage of that!)

Great dinner in Zionsville. I have been so pleased with my recent visits to BRIX. THe new menu offers so many delicious choices, I"m still working my way through it. THe service has become an asset to BRIX, as I have had a few not so great servers in the year past. Management has seemed to find who's great and get rid of the rest. My server guided me in the right direction with wine and I had some of the best wine I've ever tasted on a Tuesday night, now 1/2 price bottles of wine on Tuesdays. A Misto salad, my favorite, and an appetizer filled me up and had to box my whole dinner up, which was enjoyed for lunch the next day.

BRix has become my husbands and my favorite place for dinner in Zionsville!

Hearty, home-style American brunch, lunch or dinner in a bustling retreat near Zionsville's shopping hub.. In Short
This expanded bakery in the heart of Zionsville shopping offers everything from hearty weekend brunches to sweet homemade desserts. The menu includes upscale seafood entrees such as mussels, scallops and trout; hearty meatloaf and rib dinners, complete with heaping mounds of mashed potatoes and fresh veggie sides; and thick sandwiches on fresh-baked bread for the lunch crowd. A coffee bar and a limited wine selection make it the perfect stop any time.
