My experience with Sentinel Alarm Systems. I have removed the text of my review of Sentinel Alarm Systems in response to the written request I received from their attorney.

It sounds like "Lost Customer" had a bad experience with an individual salesperson, not the company. I have been a customer for over 10 yrs, and Sentinel has ALWAYS taken care of my needs. I have referred them to quite a few people over the years, and have never heard anything negative, only positive. Why do think they are so highly rated at BBB and Angies List?
I have also always found their pricing to be very competitive and reasonable. As a business owner myself, I understand that service calls to customers homes cannot be free. "Snips" should call one of the other alarm comanies in town and see what their prices are, I think he'll be very shocked!
Anyhow, I just wanted to say some positive things about Sentinel, as they are a GREAT company, and I will continue to recommend them.
I called Sentinel because they are rated by the BBB. I had an appointment for the evening and no one called to confirm that day. That should have been my first sign that this was bad news. No one ever showed up that evening either.
I called back the next day and one of the salesmen apologized, saying "there is no excuse for no one showing up." I decided to give them another chance and told him I wanted a salesperson to call me after 4pm to set up an appointment to get a system installed.
It is now 9pm and no one ever called. you would think that since i made it clear I wanted a system that someone would call me. I even told the salesman that I was planning on referring them to a neighbor who was also interested in getting a system installed.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY.
Shop around first!. Our advice is to shop around first. They offer good customer service but some of their policies on charges seem extreme.
