I called, saleman was out same day, Installer got my system in a few days later and explained it all. i haven't had any issues at all.
Don't walk, run away. I was with them for 5 years. When you try to cancel your contract they will try to stick you for another 2 years using the pretense that the contract renewed without your knowledge. Then they will threaten you with a collection action. They are unethical. I have had to get a lawyer to get out of my contract after being with them for 5 years.
Good Experience. I have had other systems from other companies in the past. I just relocated to Indy and had Sentinel install a new 2GIG system. I love it, having total control is nice. Cell service is much more secure once I looked into it. Not sure what the below post is about in my experience all contracts auto renew because I know I dont want to remember to call to restart the contract so I am protected. I would forget to call, need the alarm and not have service.
Here Is Your Warning. Don't try to cancel their service once they have you as a customer. They have this automatically renewing contract and when you try to cancel your service (if you move, for example) you will have to pay out the remainder of your contract. If you dont pay it, they send you to collections and whack your credit report. Don't do it guys. No matter how good a customer you have been, they will come after you for the money in the most upsetting and customer unfriendly way.
Home phone option. I was wanting an alarm but didnt have a home phone, I usee my cell all the time. Helpful people there got me setup with a cellular alarm system that I can control from my cell! Excellent!
REALLY CARE. After my divorce I called Sentinel along with another company to get information on how to feel safer in my home. I explained my situation to both companies and Sentinel had a salesman out the very next morning. My girls and I are happy campers now! I'd like to thank Sentinel for their speediness in my situation. Two thumbs up :)
Inadequate. If I could give zero stars, I would. First off, we just purchased a house, signed a new contract with them. Less than 5 mos later, our battery died and we were charged $50 for a replacement 12volt battery. Why didn't we receive a new battery with a new contract?? In fact, we didn't even receive a new yard sign, the original is so faded that a prowler could not see it! I can barely see it and I know it's there! Secondly, we had a problem with the garage sensors going off, instead of fixing the problem, the tech just turned the sensors off. Nice security, huh? To cancel their service, sentinel wants us to pay out the remainder of our contract(which is probably 2 1/2 more years). I believe that is ridiculous considering the fact that they have done nothing but disappoint us. There are a few other disappointments that I have, but these are the biggest. IMO, sentinel is an inadequate security company. Anyone would be better off looking elsewhere first. We only went with sentinel because the previous owners of our house did. From what I've learned, make sure you can get a trial period with whatever company you choose.

Sentinel was referred to me by a friend of mine after I told him I was looking for an alarm system. I had several other companies come out before I called Sentinel. Am I glad I called Sentinel!
The sales person really seemed to care about the safety of my family and my home. They installed my new alarm system last week, and did a GREAT JOB! I cannot recommend them enough.

The salesman was knowledgeable, honest and did not try to oversell me. He was through in helping me with my unique security needs. The installation was flawless!!

Sentinel - Willing and Reasonable. I had a few problems with Sentinel, but went to speak with them today. I found the manager - Guy - to be very reasonable and helped me solve my security issues. I would encourage anyone with frustrations or questions to talk to Guy to work towards a solution. I'm pleased to move from a 1 star review to a 4 star review, and hope the good service continues.
