No Longer a Sports Bar.
After frequenting this establishment for over 15 years, I see that it has gone downhill in almost every respect, especially at the hands of new management. It is not a place to watch Monday Night Football as on Mondays they now feature poker. On Mondays, the place is so full of poker players that you can barley see the game and you cannot hear it over the clinking of poker chips. New management is best described as surly and unwilling to support their long-time clientele. It's a shame as this once was a fun place. The regulars are migrating elsewhere and there is no compelling reason to visit this place any longer.

More televisions than you can shake a stick at for Colts and I.U. games..
In Short
The walls at Main Event are covered with sports knickknacks, autographed sneakers, Colts' jerseys and I.U. logos (this is not Purdue country). Sixteen televisions of various sizes broadcast every sports channel available. This family-owned joint is kid-friendly, with the usual fare of burgers, fries and steaks to nosh on. On game day, the scene changes to a lively, testosterone-filled cheering mob. Plenty of pool tables, air hockey, darts and video games will keep you busy.

Good Times.
Vistited The Main Event last week on the Thursday $2 u-call-it night. The crowds were a little thick but the service and drinks were still good. The live entertainment was pretty good also - Went back on Saturday night, which turned out to be Karaoke night which was very good as well. A little less crowded, but still a good time. I will go back again, and I reccomend this place to most age groups ... Mixed aged wise, but obviously the higher end crowd of the west side.

Not family friendly.
This is definitely not the choice for people who don't want their kids to be around a constant stream of obscenities. Management does nothing to discourage people from yelling m.f-this and f-that. It's almost like being at the game! I don't have tame ears, but it does not add to my viewing experiencing to be around this mental stench.

GREAT BURGERS!!!.
I haven't eaten here for a number of years, but these burgers still stand out in my mind. They are large and juicy, and the buns they use are fantastic.
I may have to go there again some time soon!

Football haven.
This is a great place to catch the game. They have enough televisions to make sure every game is on. Somtimes you don't get the best television but you are at least assured you game will be on. One great thing about this place is that they have portable speakers so you and you buddies will be able to listen to your game regardless how far or close your are to the set. One final note, The food goes way beyond the classic bar food. Try one of their steaks they're one of the best in town.....Better than St. Elmos (that place is way over rated)

This bar is a friendly place to be. The food is good, the drinks generous, served in an atmosphere of good will and friendliness. It is a well-run place - nothing is too much trouble for the staff to see that customers enjoy the food and drinks and company. The food is served quickly, in generous amounts and is priced reasonably. It is a good place to spend an evening, or lunch hour.
