We were so excited about going there tonight but our expectations were not met. The food was very disappointing. My husband ordered the King Neptune and his steak was black charbroiled on much of the outside and medium rare in the middle. He likes charred edges, but these were just burnt. For soaking the steaks as they say, it sure lacked flavor. If you like some heat to your steak, you better ask for it. I had chosen grouper and the waiter suggested pecan encrusted and the first bite tasted heavy on mayonnaise to me. I was going to order almond encrusted but he stated it wasn't as good on grouper. Hmmm, I didn't care for this. Our appetizer was the portabella mushroom stuffed and it was OK. We weren't impressed with it either. It tasted like tuna in it and a bunch of cheese to cover. Seriously we dine out a lot and try new things. This was totally hyped to be fantastic and we felt it barely deserved this 2 rating. Atmosphere was about a 3.5. In the end we would have preferred going to Outback.

Pros: It's fun hearing the bears growl.

Cons: We didn't even ask for the usual doggy bags it was so bad.

We came here for dinner. The decor was somewhat sensationalistic but otherwise very nice and unique. The service was a touch amateurish, but friendly. Of course, the best thing was the food. The mushroom and rattlesnake appetizers were delicious, the pheasant was unique and smoky, and the duck was absolutely wonderful. The side dishes such as mashed potatoes and creamed corn were also excellent. The only side we weren't crazy about was the cole slaw. The restaurant also has a nice selection of beers. I would definitely come back here for special occasions.

Pros: Great food, unique decor

Cons: Service was a touch off
