What People Are Saying About Outback Steakhouse

In Short – Boomerangs, Aussie flags, kangaroo portraits and faux aboriginal art honor the homeland's wilderness, but Outback delivers a polished version of rusticity with varnished blond-wood booths with matching wainscoting and casually uniformed waitstaff. Besides more than a half-dozen cuts of steak, diners can pick from large-portioned entrees like ribs, chops and shrimp or chicken "on the barbie." The Bloomin' Onion, a large onion dipped in batter and deep-fried, is an appetizer with a following.
Editor's Tips
- What to Drink:
- If you're not a fan of Foster's, try another Australian beer: Newcastle Brown Ale.

THIS OUTBACK LOCATION, OVERALL ROCKED. THE FOOD WAS COOKED TO PERFECTION THE SIRLOIN MELTED IN MY MOUTH. THIS ENTREE WAS BURSTING WITH FLAVOR, AS THE POTATO WAS STEAMING AND THE SALAD WAS CRISP AND REFRESHING. THE SERVICE WAS PROMPT AND THE WAITER RECCOMENDED AN OUTSTANDING APPETIZER( SHRIMP ON THE BARBIE) DELISH!I AM THE BOOMERANG, COMMIG BACK FOR MORE!
- Pros: FAST, FRIENDLY, FUN

Outback has excellent food, most of the time made from scratch. It is a great place to take a girl for a first date. I also like all the flare the servers wear for compliments they have received. It's like a consumer report on my server. The thing I don't like about Outback is that if I am going to spend $16 on a steak, I would like to see it. The lighting is so poor, you have to bring a flashlight to read the menu. I actually will probably never go back to the Castleton location is because of the management. I had a problem with my undercooked steak, but the "proprietor" seemed to just blow me off when I was not satasfied with the product and just gave me a free appetizer card like that equaled the price of the undercooked steak.
- Pros: great food, good service, laid back atmosphere
- Cons: bad lighting, unorganized, expensive
