horrible service

My husband and I used to go to Sakura quite often for the great sushi they serve there. We did a reservation for my husband's birthday, and the host told us it didn't matter that we had reservations, we couldn't be seated at the time. The host was very rude to me when I tried to explain that we did a reservation for a reason, to not wait 50 minutes to be seated. They do have great food, small but good, but it's not worth to us anymore. We discovered other great sushi places, and with friendlier stuff.

Love everything about it!!!

I'm a big sushi enthusiast and I must say.... the sushi here is great!!!! even better than a lot of the sushi places I have been to in Chicago. The place is always busy because the food is wonderful, but the seating does not take too long and the people who work there are very friendly, so you really don't mind the wait!!! I definitely go back to this place because I always end up getting a craving for it!!!

Great Sushi

As a East Coaster who has come to the Midwest really good sushi is hard to find here due to the lack of fresh fish. However Sakura has some of the best sushi I have ever had. I go here once a week with a friend of mine & we love the food. From the appetizers, to the salad, soup & sushi it is all great. However they are extremely busy. We have gone as soon as they have opened and there have been people waiting in their cars to get in. Even if you are going during the week you better make reservations. The service is not horrible but it is not great. It is easy to lose your waitress in this busy place. Parking is also hard to find.
