Fabulous Hair Salon! Stylists Worth Travelling To!. I love the stylists at Shear Experience! Jeanine and Cheryl are sisters, who have been in business at Shear Experience for over 25 years! Both gals are extremely talented! I began visiting them, because my hair was "totally fried"! I begged them to take me in and fix my messed up hair! We have laughed about it since, but Jeanine truly works "hair miracles"! I wish she could have followed me out to San Diego, CA.

The shop is located in the heart of the small town of Cumberland, Indiana, just east of what used to be the Washington Square Shopping Mall, on the south side of Washington St/US40. It is a renovated house, turned "salon". Jeanine and Cheryl use only the best in hair products, and continue their educations by attending Style shows and the like, and they are very trendy and on top of the latest in hair fashion, as well as their expertise in the "traditional" styles, like my grandmother would like. (wink)

When I first went to Shear Experience, my hair was multiple colors, (odd ones at that), and Jeanine helped me to transform my hair to a better health, and graduate to my natural color...which is actually beautiful! I sure do miss those gals. I have been living in San Diego County for over 7 years now, and would love to find someone out here, who has the expertise combined with such wonderful personalities as Jeanine and Cheryl at Shear Experience. These ladies are so talented at what they do, that you honestly must schedule your appointments well in advance...by a month, in many cases. I used to keep a running 6 month calendar, to ensure that I always had an appointment with them. In all of my many years, I have never had such first class service and hair salon talent as what I had received at Shear Experience, in Cumberland, IN. I certainly miss those professional girls, whom I consider the best stylists in Indiana...and far beyond.

Best salon in the Indy area. I have been going to Shear Experience for twenty years and will never switch. They do a superb job with any task given - a simple haircut, a highlight/lowlight, fixing a child's self-haircut - you name - they are the best in town.
