Disappointed

I have been going to John Wayne's off and on for 28 years. My friends and I have been going recently to watch some of our friends that play in a couple of different bands. We have always had a great time there. We have over looked that fact that the customer service is awful and you may wait over 30 minutes to get waited on. Or you may have to go to the bar and get your own drinks, only to have the bartender rudely announce to the bar that you only gave her a .75 cent tip after you had to come and get your own drink. I recently heard that a new owner has taken over and that there is not going to be any live music. That was the only reason I went there. God knows it wasn't for the customer service! I am sorry to see this happen. I think the new owner is in for a rude awakening. The live music is what brought the people in there. I would have been willing to pay a small cover charge even. If the owner is looking to make a bigger profit maybe he should raise the price of the pool tables! l will be listening to my friends bands play somewhere else. So long John Waynes!

Change of heart

Last time we visited we were told that they would no longer be having live music at John Wayne's. Each weekend, or at least twice a month, 6-10 of my friends would gather there to listen to the live music. Needless to say, we will no longer be going to JW's for live music.

They also need more wait staff, the girls that work, work their buns off so the service is not so good.

• Pros: Food is pretty good.
• Cons: Service leaves much to be desired.

cpl of my friends like this place, we went 2 wkends of the month for over a yr, last month we reserved our usual table and one next to it, the ones against the wall, well our other 2 guest didnt arriv

cpl of my friends like this place, we went 2 wkends of the month for over a yr, last month we reserved our usual table and one next to it, the ones against the wall, well our other 2 guest didnt arrive before the time on the reservation (10 min late) so the security gaurd waded up our reservation and said sorry about your f___ luck we dont reserve tables here. Last friday night we went in the table beside my friends was reserved for 8:30, I arrived at 9:15 sat next to my friends, at 10pm the people showed up and wanted their table, it was not even my table that was reserved for them, it was 2 tables down. The couple at the end refused to give up their table so they told me I had to give them mine, I told them about the rule the month before, 3 different waitresses asked me to move, this stupid bartender came out and got in my face and said (LOL) so because we did it to you, you are going to make us do it to someone else, do you think that is fair, I said I certainly do, well a few minutes later when my pizza was ready they brought it in a to go box and told us we had to leave, of course I told them to stick it, I will never go back there, except to give the bartender my address so she can get in my face on my turf,
