Very good and compasionate people. Let me start by saying this is one of the most caring vet centers I have ever been to.

We have a 15 pound jack russell that we had given a ham bone to as we have done many times before.

However this time she had eaten way to much of the bone and it did not digest properly causing

her bowels to back up. Throughout a 2 day period we had called many vets that were listed in the

Indianapolis area to try and get advice on what we could do for a remedy. We were told that they

not only couldn't tell us over the phone what to do but could tell us that it would cost us anywhere

from 300.00 to 1000.00 dollars to have her looked at and or fixed we even had 1 vet that had told us

we might as well let her die if we didn't have the money. After a whole lot of phone calls I reached

the Shelby street animal clinic and from the 1st phone conversation they were very caring on what

we could do and had asked what we had done to help resolve the problem. After going through several

things we had set a appointment up on Thurs to either try and help our beloved puppy or maybe even

put her to sleep due to the fact that times are hard and we didn't have a whole lot of money to work

with but we could not see watching her suffer. We ended up on Wed. coming up with some money and

called the clinic back and asked if they could do anything for the amount of money that we had to

work with on that day. After conversing with Dr.Magnusson they made the time around 12 pm to see us.

We took her in to the clinic at that time and they did wonders with our puppy the entire staff

were very pleasant and caring and really seemed to understand and the compassion was overflowing.

After working on her they had us leave her with them for about 2 hours. When we came back to pick her

up you could see the relief in the puppy's eyes. After 2 days our puppy is back to normal and as mean

as ever. The clinic has also stayed in contact with us by calling daily to check on her and see how she

is doing. This clinic saved our dogs life if it had not been by a chance calling We would had never known

about this clinic. I would recommend this clinic to whoever reads this I have not been touched by

as caring of people at this clinic in a long time they really care about not only pets but they also

understand what pets mean to people as well.

Sincerely

The family of puppy sissy

So glad I found this vet!. I visited the Shelby Street Animal Clinic for the first time today. I called Friday and they were able to get me in ASAP. Staff was super friendly, I was in and out in 15 minutes, and their prices were extremely reasonable. I used to take my cat to the Broad Ripple Animal Clinic, so I was expecting a huge bill today... but was surprised by how reasonably priced their services are. Plus, unlike BRAC, this vet did not try to make me feel like a bad parent b/c my cat weighs almost 15 lbs. And they didn't try to pressure me into buying a bunch of unnecessary medications. My only critique would be that they should create their own website and maybe get a facebook page in order to market to more people than just Fountain Square, Garfield Park, etc.

Best Care for Your Pets!!!!!. Dr. Borst and his staff are amazing!!! They are so caring and gentle with my animals. My parents have been going there for years and when my father died, Dr. Borst came to his showing. My puppy was recently very ill with parvo. I called every place I could think of to try to get her seen. It is hard because I am in college and have very little money. Regardless of my situation, they were able to help me. Dr. Borst has to be the only vet I can think of that is caring for pets just because he loves animals. It is a comforting thought to know that he is not after you money like other vets!!!

Most Caring Vet you'll ever find.. Dr. Borst and Dr. Sprunger are wonderful. They are very caring and kind. I know that my dogs are being taken care of with love when they see either doctor. I highly recommend both providers to everyone. I went through a trial last year for my babies (dogs) with taking them to different vets every month until I found Shelby Street. None of the places I went to gave as much compassion and love to my babies as they did. The other places, I questioned their methods and always left there broke and unsatisfied. Not with Shelby Street Animal Clinic. I leave there feeling good and taken care of each and everytime. I know that my babies are getting the best treatment possible there. Not only do I leave feeling good, my visit is always followed up with a complimentary phone call from either provider checking up on Roscoe and Daisy. If Dr. Borst or Dr. Sprunger saw people, I would definately be a patient.

Such a nice, caring staff. True animal lovers!. I've been taking my own and my family's cats here for five years for everthing from spay/neuter to a broken leg, and have always had a good experience every time. Doctor Philip is gentle and kind, and very knowledgeable and thorough. The office staff is extremely nice, and you get the feeling that everyone there truly cares about your pet's well-being. When my cats have been injured or sick, it's been easy to get a same day appointment and the staff show genuine concern when I call. They listen and are very helpful when I explain the situation. They are knowledgeable about products and tell me what I might need without trying to pressure or sell me. I highly recommend the Shelby St. Animal Clinic, though it doesn't look like much from the outside, inside you'll find alot of love.

Caring Doctor. I was impressed when Dr. Borst took time out of his busy day, to call me and ask me "How is Lucky (my dog) doing". I thought it was very nice of him to think of Lucky (who has seizures) and call to check on him. Dr. Borst has been my Vet for many years, even before the dog and 2 cats that I have now.
