VIsiting the Old Spaghetti Factory was the worst restaurant. VIsiting the Old Spaghetti Factory was the worst restaurant experience I've had in Indy. We had a long wait for a table so visited the bar. It was filthy. The bartenders were working like mad to keep up, but seeing the mess, spills, and congealed food sitting on the bar was quite unappetizing. The table we were given was too small for our group. Two children had to sit in the laps of two adults. Order taking was a tedious and unorganized. We waited quite a while - then the salads came, or some of them did. Note that no drinks, not even water, had been served, and don't even think about asking for bread. Entrees arrived immediately after the salads - 4 of the 8 people at our table received their entrees with no salad at all. Still no drinks, no bread. When we were half finished eating, the drinks arrived. By the end of the meal, the waiter brought one loaf of bread and plopped it down on the table for 8 people plus the kids sitting in the laps. The whole experience was a nightmare. I would not have left a tip, but they had the audacity to add it to the bill. I guess they knew that was the only way they'd get one. I would give this zero stars, but one seems to be the minimum!

Mama Mia..that's a spicy meatball!!!. I have to admit that based on some of the reviews I read here regarding the service I was a little hesitant about checking out the Old Spaghetti Factory. That said, the lure of great Italian drew me in like a sirens song to sailors who get dashed upon the rocks. Fortunately, the only rocks I hit was the ice cold Coke (on the rocks get it?). Good Italian food with great company and a wonderful atmosphere is one of life's true pleasures for me and, at least this time, the Old Spaghetti Factory was squarely in my corner. They provided 2 out of my 3 requirements with Deborah providing the great company (guys...she looked great).

There is plenty to choose from but I stayed true to form by ordering the lasagna which came with cheese melted across the top, and fabulously seasoned with a very tasty garlic tomato sauce. Despite numerous bad reviews here about the service, our server was friendly and attentive without smothering us as some waiters will do thinking that is good service. Would I go back?Absolutely. All the best

AWFUL SERVICE VERY BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. we love the Spaghetti Factory, but the service was so awful, and I was very shocked. Our waiter was Bobby and he treated us like we were not there, we had to ask for everything and he only came to our table 3 times 1. to take our order 2. give us our drinks. 3. give us our bill. I did leave a tip but it was only $2 I thougth that was very good of me for the BAD UGLY SERVICE, even the host was rude, now hows that for a evening out. Thanks but no thanks. I guess he missed out because Im a great tipper. his loss. :(

amazing!!!!!. I had never been to the old spaghetti factory before tonight. I read some of the reviews and they were quite helpful. I could take a while to get a seat if you do not call ahead. My advice would be to call ahead an hour before you would like to get there. Service was awesome food was great for the price. Also the atmosphere is one of a kind. One of the best places to eat downtown.

Kitschy Italian restaurant churns out heaping plates of pasta that won't break the bank.. In Short
Whimsical antiques and decorative items--velvet armchairs, vintage-looking fringed lamps and booths made from iron bedsteads--fill the dining room. The OSF Classics menu offers spaghetti with a choice of mushroom sauce, rich meat sauce, browned butter and feta-like mizithra cheese sauce, and more. Other popular favorites are the baked lasagna--layers of noodles, tomato sauce and four kinds of cheese--and the fettuccine Alfredo. Meals include a green salad, fresh-baked bread and ice cream.
