VIsiting the Old Spaghetti Factory was the worst restaurant. VIsiting the Old Spaghetti Factory was the worst restaurant experience I've had in Indy. We had a long wait for a table so visited the bar. It was filthy. The bartenders were working like mad to keep up, but seeing the mess, spills, and congealed food sitting on the bar was quite unappetizing. The table we were given was too small for our group. Two children had to sit in the laps of two adults. Order taking was a tedious and unorganized. We waited quite a while - then the salads came, or some of them did. Note that no drinks, not even water, had been served, and don't even think about asking for bread. Entrees arrived immediately after the salads - 4 of the 8 people at our table received their entrees with no salad at all. Still no drinks, no bread. When we were half finished eating, the drinks arrived. By the end of the meal, the waiter brought one loaf of bread and plopped it down on the table for 8 people plus the kids sitting in the laps. The whole experience was a nightmare. I would not have left a tip, but they had the audacity to add it to the bill. I guess they knew that was the only way they'd get one. I would give this zero stars, but one seems to be the minimum!

Mama Mia..that's a spicy meatball!!!. I have to admit that based on some of the reviews I read here regarding the service I was a little hesitant about checking out the Old Spaghetti Factory. That said, the lure of great Italian drew me in like a sirens song to sailors who get dashed upon the rocks. Fortunately, the only rocks I hit was the ice cold Coke (on the rocks get it?). Good Italian food with great company and a wonderful atmosphere is one of life's true pleasures for me and, at least this time, the Old Spaghetti Factory was squarely in my corner. They provided 2 out of my 3 requirements with Deborah providing the great company (guys...she looked great).

There is plenty to choose from but I stayed true to form by ordering the lasagna which came with cheese melted across the top, and fabulously seasoned with a very tasty garlic tomato sauce. Despite numerous bad reviews here about the service, our server was friendly and attentive without smothering us as some waiters will do thinking that is good service. Would I go back?Absolutely. All the best

AWFUL SERVICE VERY BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. we love the Spaghetti Factory, but the service was so awful, and I was very shocked. Our waiter was Bobby and he treated us like we were not there, we had to ask for everything and he only came to our table 3 times 1. to take our order 2. give us our drinks. 3. give us our bill. I did leave a tip but it was only $2 I thougth that was very good of me for the BAD UGLY SERVICE, even the host was rude, now hows that for a evening out. Thanks but no thanks. I guess he missed out because Im a great tipper. his loss. :(

amazing!!!!!. I had never been to the old spaghetti factory before tonight. I read some of the reviews and they were quite helpful. I could take a while to get a seat if you do not call ahead. My advice would be to call ahead an hour before you would like to get there. Service was awesome food was great for the price. Also the atmosphere is one of a kind. One of the best places to eat downtown.

Kitschy Italian restaurant churns out heaping plates of pasta that won't break the bank.. In Short
Whimsical antiques and decorative items--velvet armchairs, vintage-looking fringed lamps and booths made from iron bedsteads--fill the dining room. The OSF Classics menu offers spaghetti with a choice of mushroom sauce, rich meat sauce, browned butter and feta-like mizithra cheese sauce, and more. Other popular favorites are the baked lasagna--layers of noodles, tomato sauce and four kinds of cheese--and the fettuccine Alfredo. Meals include a green salad, fresh-baked bread and ice cream.

Best Italian Downtown. Great place for Italian food! Atmosphere is great, good food for a decent price - only problem is that there is often a loooong wait to get in - great place for lunch though! Try the Managers Favorite - spaghetti combined with meat sauce and Mizithra cheese. Meals include soup or salad and delicious warm bread with garlic butter. Great place!

Sad Food + Sad Service = Sad patrons. The atmosphere is wonderul, too bad the food is lacking flavor.

The service was awful.. the adults were served before the children?? The drink orders took about 20 minutes to get to the table, water refills were unavailable. however we asked them several times they would not leave a pitcher so we could do the refilling ourselves. Food came out of the kitchen cold.

The waitress was nice but she had too many tables!!

This place used to be great.

Bad service, average food, decent atmosphere.... Dined with a large group of 13. We waited over 2 hours for a table because they did not take reservations (somewhat expected at 6PM on a Sat night); but it was cool to hang out at Jillian's across the street while we waited. It took 20 min for our waitress to take our drink order, and another 25 min before we received our drinks! Salad and soup were good, bread was great with garlic butter! Meals took 1.5 hours to come out since a party of 30 was ahead of us! Fet. Alfredo was so-so; would not recommend spag. sauce to any "real" Italian. All meals come with soup or salad, bread, and either coffee, hot tea, or milk, and spumoni or vanilla icecream (not bad!), but our waitress never brought our coffee!

Maybe Not Authentic Italian, But......... For those who walk into an Italian restaurant hoping for Iron Chef Kobe to be in the kitchen whacking away at some eel for dinner, then this is not your place. But for someone looking for plain, good Italian-type food at a good price in great surroundings, then this is the spot! Nestled downtown amongst the high-priced eaterys, the Old Spaghetti Factory offers atmosphere, good food, friendly service and just a downright good time for your family or that big date. The average person will leave smiling!

The Best Italian Resturant in town. The Old Spaghetti Factory is Fabulous! The food is great! With my meal I got salad, bread, and ice cream! All for a low price. Two people can eat on 25-30 bucks including drinks! I can't say enough wonderful things about this place...when you go try the Browned Butter with Mizithra cheese! Its the best...hands down!!!!
