In Short – When Indianapolis wants a melt-in-the-mouth yeast doughnut, it's found here. Even though the sign signifying that they're fresh from the oven no longer lights up, people still line up outside the door to get a dozen or two. Long's--in business since the early 1950s--also makes a full line of cakes, brownies and pastries. And don't miss the cake doughnuts, especially the chocolate-covered ones.

A little piece of heaven in your mouth

I went to go visit my daughters father side of the family and they said "We have to go to Longs" even though there was a line and we drove from Fl, that was are first stop. And we went every day that we were there. A little piece of heaven in your mouth.
- Pros: They are so unforgetable and so delicious
- Cons: I live in Florida and I can't eat any soon.
