Good Bakery, Rude staff. The donuts are very good, but the staff is extremely rude. I've only been to the Speedway location 3 times but everytime they were rude to me and the patrons before and after me.
Long's Bakery is the Best.
Long's Bakery has the friendliest staff and makes the most delicious, mouth watering pastries I have found in Indianapolis.
Yesterday was my son's birthday and I had ordered a cake from Long's to help celebrate. The beautiful cake they created was admired by everyone. It was not only a work of art but incredibly tasty.
The next time you are in the Southport area stop by and give yourself a treat. The donuts melt in your mouth. Their pies will remind you of the one's grandma used to make. And for goodness sake, the next time a birthday comes up give them a try.
Indescribable!!. We stop at Long's every time we are in town. It is MANDATORY!!! I swear there's a Long's Bakery at the entrance to HEAVEN!!!!!
Quite the surprise!. We were on our way to see the speedway and passed Long's. There was a line out the door! Usually a sign of something good going on. Quite right! It wasn't our plan to stop for donuts that morning but, glad we did.
Love it! PLease consider opening up another location in the. Just loving it and always has.
awesomeness at its finest. The doughnuts are warm and fresh and just out right awesome.
A little piece of heaven in your mouth. I went to go visit my daughters father side of the family and they said "We have to go to Longs" even though there was a line and we drove from Fl, that was are first stop. And we went every day that we were there. A little piece of heaven in your mouth.
Wow!. If Food Network was ever to have a show about a donut, the Long's Donut would be the star!
Yeast doughnuts that are an Indianapolis legend..
In Short
When Indianapolis wants a melt-in-the-mouth yeast doughnut, it's found here. Even though the sign signifying that they're fresh from the oven no longer lights up, people still line up outside the door to get a dozen or two. Long's--in business since the early 1950s--also makes a full line of cakes, brownies and pastries. And don't miss the cake doughnuts, especially the chocolate-covered ones.
mmmmm!!!!! donuts. I have family members that come into town, they expect Long's donuts, every time. I am happy to oblige them.
