Local live music rocks this former pub.. The Scene
Big-screen TVs and a dark smoky sports-pub atmosphere linger, but gone are the cozy booths and the intriguing aquarium. When it went from pub to club, Peppers closed its kitchen. Instead of beefy burgers and super-sized salads, the offerings (which come from Pizza Pasta, Etc. next door) include wings, meal-sized pizza by the slice, subs, and a limited range of pasta dishes. Like typical fast-food pizza joints, the fare is passable and generously portioned, served in disposable containers. But the selection is limited and the quality variable, while the service is almost always indifferent.

The Draw
This former British pub has morphed into a showcase for live music, with emphasis on drinking, dancing and mixing it up with the single 20-something college club crowd. Rock, techno, pop, dance music--it's a different blend every night, with dance floors, couches and pool tables providing the opportunities for introduction.
