Love Love Love MARCO'S - You Will TOO!!!. We adores Marco's -- friendly, attentive staff, great food, wonderful specials, and the PATIO is #1 in Indianapolis. We are always treated like family and made to feel welcomed every time we walk in the door. Treat yourself tonight and experience the difference of Marco's Restaurant and Lounge.

Ruined our group's night!. Expected nothing but a cozy atmosphere, with decent food and service... and this place failed on every level!!

Although we were a younger group (my husband and I, my brother and his wife, and my 2 cousins), I honestly felt like we were at Steak n' Shake @ 2am on a Fri night with the experience we had at Marco's. We take food pretty seriously in our family, and we love finding new, local restaurants that put the chain ones to shame. We had chosen Marco's based on a few recommendations, yet couldn't be more disappointed when we walked out of there... and are sure to never go back again.

The service was the worst I can ever remember having, (considering I spent years dining at chain restaurants when traveling for work). We waited around 45 minutes for our food, which came out blatently looking and tasting like it had been sitting under the heat lamps for the last half hour. Their pizza was so bad, it made a frozen Tombstone look good. Annd, we had drinks show up with bugs in them and then were still charged....I could go on and on...it was THAT BAD!!

And after all of this, my brother's wife pulled the manager aside to simply let him know of our poor service (nicely, calmly, and making sure he knew we weren't expecting anything from it), and instead of apologizing for our experience, he turned the blame to us, saying we weren't on time for our reservation, which was not true at all. Never once did we receive an apology for anything that night, and felt like the mananger could care less.

This is actually the first restaurant review I've ever posted online, if that says anything about how strongly I am against the service and quality of Marco's Restaurant.

Re: Great Food and Service. I live near Marcos and have been going there for years. The food and service have always been great. Their steaks are my favorite!!

Excellent Meal - GREAT music. We found this place by accident. Loved the music and the food was excellent. The customer service we rec'd was spot on.

No complaints at all.. we went back the next week, different time of day and still spot on service.

At least the food is still good.. We have been going to Marco's for 4 or 5 years now and almost always have a great experience. There is the occassional over-done steak or salty soup or waiter not really that good, but we still go back. This past Sat. night however we were treated very badly by our waiter (the short one on the patio). For some reason I was made to feel bad just because I said my steak was overcooked. He actually argued with me and said "...it looks okay to me". To which I replyed, "Yeah, but you're not the one eating it." And he took it away, finally. We'll go back of course and recommend anyone try it too. The patio is lovely, most the waiters very good, and the Filet ala Dina awesome.

The worst service I've ever had.... I had dinner last night at Marco's. After waiting almost an hour for dinner, my fish was dry and overcooked. I sent it back and asked for the bill. When I checked the charges (there were 3 of us), I found they charged me for the baked potato and salad. I promptly asked to speak to the manager and when I relayed the events of the night, was told "they are not a chain so they can't comp everything." He went on to say that the dry fish was only my opinion. In the end, I have never had such poor service or spoken with such a rude manager. I will definitely not go back but, I guess they have enough business without me.

Awful !. If you want crappy service with an attitude try Marco's! I've run restaurants and this place was awful - from the salty food to the rushed waiter - to waiting repeatedly for water, even after asking for it several times - they actually came by and took the tip while we were sitting there - THIS PLACE IS CLASSLESS and TOTALLY CLUELESS - I would not send my enemies here - too cruel - Be sure and ask for BJ (yes BJ) the worst waiter you have ever met - rush, rush, rush - rent must have been due - just plain awful!!!

Worse service in town- small - Don't recommend it. I am Italian and knows about good Italian food. The food here is mediocre not nearly at the level of other local Italian restaurants in the area. Staff doesn't have any idea of good service, particularly the bitter and unpleasant hostess.

Very small and overcrowded. WIll never go back!

way over rated!. We now live close to this place and have heard good things about the steak... We have given it a chance but I must finally say... Why would someone go here when you could get better @ The Aristocrat, Mo and Johnny's, the BR Brew Pub and others in the area... Why would some one want to sit on a patio that close to a loud major intersection? There are some great patios at the other places... But the important part, the food... My wife got the worst can of clams tossed on some old pasta she has ever seen! My sausage was good but when we asked the waiter to take her pasta off the menu, the waiter said he did not have the authority to do so. I have NEVER heard of such a thing in my life! had to ask for the manager, get excuses before offering the refund. I didnt feel like we needed to continue to tell our case to get the dish she was not going to eat off the bill...

On another try of the place we witnessed this snooty waiter arguing with another table and after the owner was called over this guy still wouldnt stop and had to be [gently] pushed away by the owner... It was weird. Food only normal that time.

So, food not good enough to suffer through that kind of service and sit in that type of atmosphere...

Great atmosphere and food for this unique little local restaraunt. We live in the area, and by far Marco's is one of our favortie places to have dinner with friends. It has a warm cozy atmosphere, great continental cuisine and excellent service. It is one of those places where we take our guests visiting from out-of-town when they want to experience unique local fare.

P.S. be sure to check out "Cheap Meat Night" - Tuesday nights they have an excellent 6 oz Filet, Baked Potato and Salad for only $9.95! Be sure to get reservations in advance though!
