This place is amazing. Customer service is so helpful. I've never experienced such an amazing store. They handled my rental beautifully. I would disregard the other reviews. These people didn't seem to understand how it worked. The staff explained how the rental and payment process works and I was able to cancel my rental and payment was immediately stopped.
My Music Store of Choice – This is pretty much the only place I go locally for music-related needs. Everyone there has been friendly and gone out of their way to help me. I have purchased a cello bow, rosin and strings, clarinet reeds, a tambourine and guiro, valve oil, and countless other things from them and have had many repairs completed by their competent repair staff (had a viola bow rehaired and re-tipped, soundposts reset, cello and bass necks repaired, new pads put on a clarinet, and the list goes on). I recommend them especially to my friends who have a kid just getting started in band or orchestra.
rip off – We did not have the instrument all summer and my daughter quit but the band teacher didn't turn it in so of course we had to pay for all those months even though my daughter quit I think the school should rent the instruments
Avoid paying online – I also had trouble with Paige's taking an unauthorized payment from my account this past spring. I have two accounts, but only one was charged double. I asked that my info be removed from online access and Mark Goff, the company's owner, assured me that it had been done. The next day I tried it and still could get in. After a second request, my info was removed. I was told multiple times by customer service that it was the billing system that was having a problem. COMPUTERS DON'T BILL YOU, PEOPLE PUT INFORMATION INTO COMPUTERS TO MAKE THINGS HAPPEN! Maybe the accounting department needs to be investigated? If I had not been watching my bank account closely, I would never have know I was double billed.
Would not stop taking money out of account and now refuse to refund – I used Paige's for the first time when my son was in band last year, they talked me into taking the payment out of my checking account monthly to which I reluctantly agreed. I would not recommend any one do that with this company. The instrument was returned on the last day of school and the school has acknowledged that but Paige's continues to charge me for the next three months. They took 75.00 out of my account and assured me on three different occassions this money would be returned. Three months later I still do not have the money and their accounting manager called me got very hateful with me and told me that is just the way it is, she then admitted they had the instrument but that I would not be getting my money back and again "that is just the way it is". I am now out 75.00 for an instrument I returned and did not use those three months, the staff is horrible and rude and in my opinion I can now add a bunch of thiefs and I told every band parent in the school at the meeting to try and find somewhere else to go. Once you give them access to your account they are free to take out whatever they want and since there was no end date on their "contract" they were able to continue taking it out at their will and the bank could not stop it.
