Capital City Baptist Church. Great preaching, singing, fellowship, friendly, and caring. Wonderful Church

My wife and I were looking for a "good " church close to our home when we visited Capital City Baptist. We had just left the one we were attending because of doctrinal differences, worldly music and other reasons not worth mentioning. We visited one other church and received no contact from them concerning our visit. We were visited, called by the pastor, sent mail by the pastor thanking us for our visit and a gift bag was delivered to our door by one of the Care Teams at Capital City Baptist. Having intended to visit other Baptist churches we realized that the preaching, singing, standards, friendship, fellowship, caring pastor and people at Capital City Baptist was for us.
I have been a Baptist preacher for over thirty years myself and it is quite evident that our pastor spends much time in prayer and Bible study for each sermon. It is also evident that his preaching is coming from the heart, the Bible, prayer and not someone else's book, internet series, or wherever some "preachers" today get their sermons.
This is a church that is debt free, the pastor teaches, those who wish to know how to be debt free, through Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University material. As a couple that is almost debt free (no credit card debt), small auto loan, we are hilariously thrilled to be able to give of our financial resources to help our local church and its outreach ministries.
The Men's Sunday School class is informative, relative to today, and exciting.
Great prayer time on Saturday at 5:00 p.m., wonderful fellowship at the Men's Prayer Breakfast each month. Also, guest preachers, evangelists, and missionairies keep a good balance of preaching. Vacation Bible School has been exciting for the children as well as Master Club on Wednesday evenings.
This is an exciting, exubberant, 1st Century church in the 21st Century. Praise the Lord for it!!!
- Pros: Friendly, helpful, guest parking. Great preaching, teaching and singing.
- Cons: Restrooms downstairs except in gymnasium area.
Good friends to have!

This church is caring and kind. We have been attending for quite some time - and will continue. This church really has a caring Pastor and his family is caring. I have personally seen how the Pastor's family is helping other families spiritually, financially, emotionally. The whole church has a helping spirit. I see these things for myself. This church provides many tools (discipleship, Financial Peace University, bible study, Saturday evening prayer, Children's church, Men's prayer breakfast, Master Club, Care Team) for members (and non-members) to use to grow to be what we need to be for Christ. This church does practice what they preach. Good messages, good preaching, good people, good teachers. Everyone is welcome.

This is the best preaching I have ever heard. The pastor preaches from the bible. He is more interested in your salvation than anything else. He will help you get through any problems you are having, personal or about your faith in Christ. If you want to hear the truth ( from the bible) please attend.
Bless Everyone!
- Pros: People are wonderful
