The Scene – Business travelers, corporate types and couples out for a quiet, romantic night patronize this upscale restaurant above the 21st floor of the downtown Hyatt. Low lighting, candles at each table and a ceiling painted to resemble a night sky enhance the mood. Service is attentive and refined. – – The Food – Dishes are fresh and impressively presented. The field green salad comes wrapped in a long cucumber slice; the Indiana duck breast looks like a modified clock face with six slices as the numbers, rice in the middle and asparagus as the hands; and a round…
Incredibly Over Priced

I'm a life long resident of Indy and I've been there twice in about 20 years. Rotating view is all that could possibly recommend this restaurant. Food is sub-par at best. Price is way out of line for the level of quality of both the wait staff and food. But if you really must eat in a spinning dining room and you've got money to throw away, be my guest.
- Pros: Good View
- Cons: Poor food, Expensive, below average service
Ambiance notwithstanding, the food is simply not good

Ambiance notwithstanding, the food (appetizers, soups to main course) was 'below' average and as high priced as I would pay for high end, flavorful food in restaurants in Chicago or San Francisco. As food is very important to me, the quality simply muted the towering view of the city. Perhaps it is just a place to go for drinks?
Key disappointments:
1 I paid $11 for the Roast Beet Salad for my wife and I to share. We were given a small plate with about 4 pieces of lettuce with tiny cube cuts of beet perhaps equaling 1/2 slice of a beet. We actually asked is this just 1/2 the salad, which would still be small compared to Cheese Cake Factory or any of a number of restaurants like Maggiano's or BoneFish. Regardless I expected it to be good, but it also was NOT with either the lettuce or beets being somewhat grainy.
2. Steak with pesto sauce was bland which was very disappointing
3. Dessert menu is NOT provided. So I expected a great description of the part of dinner I sweetly anticipate. Waitress described the desserts but nothing really interested us so we were going actually to pass. But the waitress then asked would be like to split a cheesecake. I asked what type is it, she said plain but I could throw in some berries??? After the average food, we decided to pass on the cheesecake with added berries.
As this was a romantic getaway for my wife and me, I clearly was disappointed at spending > $150 when I could have enjoyed superior food in a restaurant that was just as romantic with a great dessert. Eagle's Nest simply must update cuisine and infuse more flavor.

My husband took me here for my birthday. It was a great place for a special occasion... extremely romantic. The rotating restaurant made for a 360 degree fantastic view. We just relaxed and enjoyed dinner while trying to locate local landmarks. The food was only mediocre compared to the price, however, you have to realize you are paying more for the height/view in downtown Indianapolis. Recommended to try at least once, even it is only to grab a drink at night in the lounge area (you have the same rotating view).
- Pros: AWESOME view, Bar/Lounge Area
- Cons: Average Food
