Whoa SO good. the food is fantastic, and the staff is friendly. The salsa is delish and packs a good amount of heat. I had the chicken mole, and it was the best I've eaten. Before last night the trophy for greatest mole sauce went to a restaurant in Brooklyn, now it belongs to El Sol. Friends of mine enjoyed the tacos, and fajitas and were as equally enthusiastic about their orders as myself. Next time I'm going to try the octupus/shrimp coktel (cocktail), I have high hopes that El Sol will win the trophy for that as well (currently held in Merriville,IN). Can't wait to go back.

Good lunch. The girls and I eat at El Sol for lunch. We are always in and out quick, get awesome service, and love the lunch fajitas. This place is awesome and reasonably priced!!!!!!!!!!

Authentic Mexican food for the diner who's up for goat or octopus and the novice who wants tacos.. The Scene
Indianapolis' burgeoning Mexican community eats here, alongside yuppies, businesspeople and couples in a huge dining room that can accommodate 300. They're surrounded by wall paintings of various Mexican men (a guitar player, for one), and seated under exposed pipes painted lime green as well as lacy red, white and green hangings that say "Viva Mexico." Mariachi music plays in the background.

The Food
Dishes include carne con chili y papas--thin, tender steak fried in salsa and served in a salty gravy--and fajitas. Oversized plates come stacked with ingredients to stuff into soft corn or flour tortillas that are flavorful enough to eat without filling. All dishes include rice and smooth refried beans. Guacamole, too, is smooth and light, almost like it's been whipped. And save room for the chocolate flan; the Mexican custard is both sweet and slightly bitter.

Muy Bien!. My favorite mexican restaraunt by far. The food, atmosphere, service are all fantastic - dont be surprised to see the owner him self - Javier - he'll make you sure you enjoy your meal.
