Tips for Kopper Kettle Inn Restaurant

November 04, 2012

11.95 for 2 small wings and a tiny thigh. Green beans were burnt, raspberry margarita was all ice. Spent $70 for 2 adults and 3 kids under 7. That was without tip since the waitress was awful. Took all kids chicken fingers home and gave to dog. Waitress didn't even ask why didn't eat anything she was hardly seen and it was 2 in the afternoon. They were hardly busy. Went on 10/27 a saturday. Whole thing was a waste and will never go back after going there since 1986. Next time will just go to KFC.

OK, but not the same. My family and I started going to the Kopper Kettle in 1955 and were very eager to return. The food is still quite good. The server was efficient, if not overly friendly. However, we got the feeling that the hostess would rather have been someplace else the night we were there and that we were merely roadblocks in her plans. That's unfortunate, since she's the first person guests encounter and the one who sets the tone for the evening. We were also disappointed by the decor. The historical elegence of this once magnificent inn was tainted by cheap and gaudy halloween decorations, rather than simple fall displays. The old piano, which a charming elderly man used to play during the dinner hour, is now used to "adorn" a horrid pair of skulls, in keeping with the halloween theme. We will probably go back, but it may be a while. It's simply not the same as it used to be.

Best kept secret!!!. We visited the Kopper Kettle Restaurant for one of their dinner shows. What a neat place to go for dinner!! The restaurant was like taking a step back in time. This early 1900's restaurant still remains authentic to the time, even down to the china at every table. It is very lavishly decorated. I was told that the Holiday decor is absolutely beautiful!! They also have seating in their gardens, which I would like to try sometime. Not only is this a unique restaurant to see, the food is fantastic! We had their famous fried chicken dinner with all the sides. You don't want to miss visiting this place!!
