Best Steak Place Ever. Period.

This is where my family always goes for special occasions!
The steak is exceptional: the cuts are very thick and are grilled to perfection. I'm not just saying the cuts are thick, I mean they are THICK. It makes those chain restaurant steaks look like flat beef patties. By "grilled to perfection" I mean they come to you sizzling, juicy, and tender. I eat my steak medium and I have yet to have a steak at Bynum's that did not leave me completely satisfied.
The staff is personable, and attentive. Let me illustrate: I tip wait staff based on drink refills (because I realize the quality of food is out of their control). Do I have to ask for refills? How long was my glass empty? These kind of things. At Bynum's my glass never has a chance at becoming empty. I think 1/3 full is the closest I can get before it is refilled.
The price is somewhat high for a steak place at about $30 a plate, but the quality of food is MUCH better than the average steak place.
Every meal is served with fresh bread, delicious french onion soup, and a simple salad. Nothing fancy, just good food.
I live over an hour away from Bynum's and I consider the drive and price more than worth the good meal and good times. I have recommended this place to all of my friends and now I am recommending it to you. Enjoy!
Terrible service

The person whose review predates this one must have made their visit in an alternate reality.
Last night my husband and I went to Bynum's. We were seated quickly, and one of the first things I noticed was that the table next to us completely blocked a fire exit. Additionally they still allow smoking in the bar and it was immediately noted that is was drifting into the dining room. Nasty. An extremely harried looking hostess asked us what we wanted to drink. Not having yet seen a menu to know what was available we ordered lemonade. After looking at a menu husband ordered a steak I chose the Kingcrab legs. Our lemonade arrived and so did some bread. The bread had a paper napkin wrapped wetly around it so the paper stuck to the bread. Soon some soup arrived. It was fairly good French onion. After a bit of a wait they brought the salads. Bare bones salad nothing extra in it. I noted a couple sitting near us had plastic baggies with tomato and cucumber which they brought in to put on their salad. Very odd. After we finished our salads we waited and waited for the meal to arrive. His steak was great. My crablegs were a huge disappointment. .For $32 I expected better. They were slightly overcooked and there was not much there. The waitress did not return for sometime and when she did come back it was to drop off 2 cans of Minute maid lemonade on the table. Never asked us it we needed bread or napkins nor squat. I had no extra plate for the crab shell. Did not see her again till we were nearly done and then she asked if everything was ok.
Essentially for the price I paid there I can go get much better elsewhere and that is what I will do in the future.
