Held captive to their choice of drinks. Food is marginal at best.. Don't think you can drink what you want at Oaken Barrel. Mixed drinks are not available, and the beer/wine choice is very limited. Supposedly a top-rated beer, but I would rather have a Becks Dark. The food is not what I would consider midwestern cuisine. Probably would be great in Seattle, but not Indiana. This place is hugely over-rated!

great beer and food.. I visit Indianapolis quite frequently. My two favorite restaurants are the Oaken Barrel and the Greek Islands in south Merridian. Kwan Casey brews the best beer in the Indianapolis area I highly reccomend this place. I am in the restaurant bussines in Chicago (Roditys Restaurant) I will not steer anyone in the wrong direction. Best Beers and food. Great food, great service, decent prices and the best brewed beer anywhere. Truly a gem for Indianapolis

Great Beer!!!!!. Great food and great beer, cute servers... too bad all of our brewpubs aren't so lucky. They are busy but always seem to be friendly.
