Great restaurant!. I love this restaurant and have been there at least 20 times with wonderful service each and every time. With the plentiful variety of the substandard buffets all over town, I consider myself lucky to have stumbled upon this place. Every time we've gone there the food has been wonderful, the staff pleasant and prompt, if not a little quirky, and everyone is always smiling. The food is fantastic and the price even moreso. They have the best egg rolls! Kids get their own special treats like cherries and fruit with steamed veggies with their meals and the food is always fresh, hot, and yummy. Definitely check it out! You won't be sorry.

Perfect everytime.... My wife and I frequently partake of King Chef's Chinese cuisine and, I must admit, we are grateful we learned of this place. They offer both variety AND quality, the latter often lacking at many of the buffets. The quality of the food is always fresh and flavorful and the service is friendly. I must admit, in reading a previous review, we have never had any problem at all with our order. Our personal fav is the pork lo mein, but you pretty much can't go wrong with any pick.

These people are clueless. The food is great if they get your order right. EVERY time I go here the order is wrong and if you try and complain they just don't get it. Tonight we have had to make three trips, I wrote the carry out order on paper and it is still wrong. Then they argued with me when I said I was shorted a container of fried rice. I spent 75 dollars on a carry out feast for my husband's fathers day and they are arguing with me over a container of fried rice. By the time I finally got the order right and home half of it was cold. These people are clueless and I will never order from them again.

Simply the best. Best thing this side of dim sum! For two folks who've eaten a LOT of Chinese in New York, Chicago, & San Francisco, we BOTH feel KC rates right up there with the middle of the pack (not saying the best, mind you) of those cities' Chinatowns, and THAT, folks is saying something!. Jack & Erica are the consummate hosts; the place is stylish, cozy & clean; the food is consistent, fresh & terrific. Great off-menu items: Singapore Noodles (curry!), Princess Shrimp & sublime Egg Foo Yung (especially the pork version). Their Egg-Drop Soup has no peer, but Yen Cheng still beats them on the Hot n Sour (that's the ONLY dish they do). Best menu dishes: Sizzling Beef, Moo-Goo-Gai-Pan, Orange-Flavor Beef, Yui-Shan Pork, House Beef, Kung-Pao Chicken, Chow Mein & Tofu Family-Style. I'd say the Fish with Black Bean Sauce too, if it were grilled/sauteed rather than deep-fried.

Outstanding. Best of everything. Have been eating here since it opened. Not only would I recommend all menu items but even some not on the menu. (Don't let it get out but if you ask nicely and they are not completely swamped...best egg foo yung (sp) in town.) Service superior even down to the refills on water. Never empty. And prices are right. Last recommendation is the crab rangoon appetizer. I'd almost offer to reimburse you for anything you didn't like...I feel that confident on all...except egg rolls...just ok. Try carry out and see.

Service was slow. The service was really slow when we were there. We only saw our waiter or waitress 2 or 3 times the whole time we are there. The food is good and the price is fine but the service needs to be better.

Not bad at all. Apparently the secret's out, because this place is getting pretty popular. If you're looking for a buffet, keep looking, this is menu only. But the menu is far more extensive than many local chinese restaurants. Service is speedy and polite, prices are fair, and food is very good. The vegetables are perfectly prepared, meats are thinly sliced and tender. Sadly, the sauces are only average and fail to elevate the entrees to true chinese greatness.
