Editorial Review for Glass Chimney Restaurant – by Christopher Raymond
The Scene
This restaurant features tables draped in white linen, original art hanging from the walls, mini-chandeliers sparkling from the decorative ceiling and a candlelit dining room. First-class service starts from the moment the host seats you and continues through to the last bite of dessert. Patrons can rely on the knowledgeable, cordial waitstaff to explain every detail of the pricey menu, including making a recommendation from the extensive wine list.
The Food
Chef-owner Dieter Puska blends traditional American cuisine with hearty European dishes to create a unique and flavorful menu. Starters include sauteed foie gras, a pate combo and fresh smoked baby shrimp. The perfectly seasoned 14-ounce New York strip topped with sauteed portobello mushrooms is large enough to share, but scrumptious sides of garlic mashed potatoes and seasoned green beans are in smaller portions. Desserts include the sticky Viennese apple strudel.

I had been going here for many many years with my mothers side of my family (specifically my grandparents) since I was a child. Sadly, my grandmother passed away, and we don't go there anymore - its a bit out of my price range being a 20-something...however, it was always delicious, beautiful, elegant, and gave me so many memories. Wonderful for special occassions!
Pros: Quiet, Romantic, High Quality
Cons: Exspensive

I'd challenge anyone to find a more enjoyable dining experience in Indianapolis. Deeter next door is even a better value.
Pros: Food quality, Food creativity, Food value
Cons: Crowd on weekends
