Editorial Review for Thai One On – by Lori Lovely

In Short
Warm tones of reds and golds throughout the narrow little restaurant, highlighted by original artwork, are matched for heat by the Thai cuisine's mystery spices and herbs. Drawing from his heritage, the owner uses fresh ingredients and his own secret sauce for flavorful dishes, such as chicken satay, marinated in coconut milk, curry powder and garlic; Penang beef curry with chili peppers and jasmine rice; pad Thai; and som tum, a shredded papaya salad blended with lime, garlic and hot peppers.
Diners can have the desired amount of heat adjusted, except in the curries.

Insider Tips

When to Go

Make reservations for wine tasting night (the first Thursday of every month). Each event features a theme, such as local wines from Chateau Thomas Winery and international wines paired with Thai dishes from the menu. There is also live music. The popularity of this evening translates into few (if any) available seats if you aren't on the list.

The Extras

Live musical performances are standard Friday and Saturday night. Lunch specials change daily.

I have eaten lunch there with friends and this last time I took my husband who isn't big on Oriental food. He doesnt like Chinese restaurants but wanted to try it out since I crave it! I usually get the Thai Pad or Spicy Noodles. This last time husband got the Spicy noodles and I got the Thai Pad. Both were very good, the service was great and friendly. LEFTOVERS are the best! They give you enough to take home for a later meal. I mixed the two together and made an awesome meal! Something they should consider for the menu! I would highly recommend this place! If you like spicy you need to ask by number! It isnt very seasoned for a 0, 4 is medium and 6 I was hot! So when you order tell them what number you want it!

Pros: Food, Service

Cons: Atmosphere
