Still trying to sue people. In April of 2006 my wife was talked into signing a contract and told if she didn't bring a cancelled check back then nothing would happen. She never went back. Five and a half years later Mr. Philpot is trying to sue her. Filed in Franklin Township (Not sure how he did that). We got transferred to Lawrence where Shadeland store used to be. Any luck on previous attempts to expose this guy?
Indoor Beach Tanning has closed all locations in Indiana!. I just found out that Indoor Beach tanning has closed all stores in Indiana. The only Indoor Beach Tanning is located in Rushville, IN. The Tanning company in Rushville has no association with Indoor Beach Tanning on the Northside (which is no longer open). Mr. Philpot is suing everyone he can get a hold of. I ask that you please contact me if you have had trouble with this company in the past. I am contacting every news channel in Indianapolis and having them put a story together. If you have been sued by this company contact me asap.

I received a letter stating that I must appear in court after the scheduled date. I had no knowledge that I owed this company any money and I didn't. This company not one time tried to contact me for anything.
When I was 18 I signed a contract with them and cancelled after a year, as they requested. I haven't seen or heard from this company in 4 years! Now they have sued me for $1,500's! They require a 31 day notice and since I sold my vehicle so I could pay for school I had a friend take me clear across town to cancel my membership due to the fact I didn't have a way to the new location and was starting school.
This company knew if the defendant (me) doesn't show up for court the judge would have to rule in the plaintiffs (Indoor Beach Tanning) favor. This company changes location and hours constantly! As you can tell from the many other complaints they have against them!
I wonder how many other victims they have sued? Probably a lot. It seems to me they are in financial trouble and are trying to pull out anything they can to receive revenue.
Please contact me if you have the same complaints. I have already contacted the BBB and AG about this company. I don't want the same thing to happen to another young person.

It's A SCAM!. I know of many people including myself that have canceled our memberships to these salons and are still being billed months later. We gave them a months notice ages ago, had them sign papers that said exactly when our last billing date would be, had them date and sign....still being billed. Nobody who works there can give you the name of a manager, number to call, etc. They keep moving locations, changing hours. All a scam to get you to sign up for a membership, start collecting your money from your account and then pick up and leave.
What a rip off!. This is absolutely the WORST tanning salon. First, I joined the salon right around the corner, because as an avid tanner, I refer to tan close to home. Well in less than 1 year, they have shut down the salon, and expect their customers to drive 15 minutes to the other side of town. They would not let you tan at any other salons with your membership, but they can close the salon you belong to, and make you still pay 19.95 a month to drive across town to tan. Lets not mention the price of gas. The rooms you tan in look so patheic at the Binford salon, they have no music playing, and the staff is soooo rude. I understand I signed a contract, but that was when the salon was right across from my house. This place is AWFUL! DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THEIR MEMBERSHIP, ITS NOT WORTH IT.
CLOSED LOCATIONS & KEEP TAKING YOUR MONEY OUT MONTHLY WITHOUT NOTICE. This tanning salon is a joke. I have called and spoke to a woman and she was so unprofessional- would not give her name out. They have closed down ALL LOCATIONS that are around me and she expects me to drive ? hr to hr away to one of the ?ONLY? OPEN location now. The owner never responded to any of my e-mails. They will not cancel my contract nor refund any money. So basically I am paying for a membership that I will never be able to Tan (or have been for the last 6 months) at because of them not having the money to keep their stores open. So basically individuals like me are keeping one other store open with my money they keep taking. This salon is UNBELIEVABLE. That is not even complaining about how dirty the beds were, doors falling off, doors would not shut, store always just open and would take 15mins for someone to come to help me- they would be next door getting a drink or whatever. They changed their hours at least three times in one month. Their final hours were much more restricted (11am-8pm, last tanner at 7:40.) than the hours I had signed my membership for (9am-9pm, no restriction on last tanner.) While this issue is my fault for not remembering the fine print I read, be aware that you must cancel your membership after the one year term or it will continue to bill your bank account. They require a 31 day notice to terminate your contract, with each billing cycle being cut off by the 1st of the month. It's a tricky system, so just be aware if you plan to cancel. I have tanned in many places over the last 15 years and have never even experienced anything like I have with INDOOR BEACH! They should be shut-down.
HORRIBLE. This tanning salon is a joke. The owner never responded to any of my e-mails. A lot of people have quit going to Indoor Beach, and have been going to Tropical Tans down the street. They want 28 dollars for the highest bed(which doesn nothing) The hours are horrible also. They hire cute girls, but one of the girls have only 10 teeth! And she pressures you to buy buy buy. I signed up for the Bronze12 and I am STILL getting billed. This is a very shady company. All of my Co-Workers are leaving this tanning salon. They also run on a point system. Its very expensive and not worth it at all. This salon is very untrustworthy also. I would have gave this place no starts if I had the option! Don't tan here unless you are a crazy person! I also bought the lotion from there. They say it's a "Private line". They are lieing. I went online and even to the parisian beauty website and it is a FAKE. Do not buy the lotion either!!!

To terminate my contract now (beginning of June), I will continue to be billed until the end of July. It's a tricky system, so just be aware if you plan to cancel.
I've tanned lots of places but this place has the best equipment I have ever used. It could use some touch up paint, but the tan is great and the prices are really good if you buy the larger packages.
It's still pretty expensive, but I'm willing to pay more and not have to wait. If I had the time to lay out or wait for a tanning bed I would just save my money and lay out.
