Editorial Review for Starbucks – by Kamila Przybylski
In Short
For many, getting their daily jolt of java has become a daily morning ritual, and the cardboard cup with its infamous green label is the close companion of every coffee aficionado. Busy baristas work seamlessly behind the bar, juggling orders for their strongly-brewed drips and signature hot and cool beverages. While providing a wide selection of coffee specialties, pastries and various coffee related goods, patrons are invited to settle down in comfy armchairs and enjoy their favorite brews amid the chatter of the laidback yet caffeinated crowd.

Fun FactThe Starbucks logo, a two-tailed mermaid, was based on a 16th century Norse woodcut, and supposed to be as seductive as coffee itself.

I walked into a Starbucks yesterday not knowing quite what to expect. I've heard numerous comments from people that it's just an over-rated chain with bland coffees, but I was willing to lay down $3.35 and try it out for myself. I ordered a 10-ounce Mocha Frappuccino and was pleasantly surprised at its smooth, creamy texture and sweet, chocolatey taste. The whipped cream was good, too. Now I'm anxious to go back and try some different coffees, and maybe some of their pastries, too. Starbucks has a new fan! :-)
Pros: good frozen coffee, nice and clean atmostphere
Cons: a bit pricey
