Fishers >Reno's Music
I collect guitars and have played for over 30 years. I am a regular at most music stores on the north side. Reno's is my go to store. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They have a nice selection of quality guitars and amps in all price ranges. With over 30 guitars I regularly use their service for repairs and set ups. They are never pushy, always willing to help and very reasonably priced. Pretty much all guitars (no drums or keyboards here), lessons and as previously mentioned some nice enclosed rooms to actually hear what you are playing. Check them out, good people. J
Great, helpful staff.
This review is actually more motivated by my desire to respond to the unfavorable review posted by someone who had an unfortunate experience at Reno's with ONE salesperson who might or might not even be there anymore.
My experience with this business has been very positive. I believe that sales people have a tenuous line to walk between being sufficiently helpful and interested in the customer's needs on one hand, and being pushy and overbearing on the other hand. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on your perspective) not all people are alike, and as such, we all have unique expectations of sales people. What one person considers overbearing, another might consider helpful. What one considers as allowing the customer space, another might perceive as uninterested in him or her. With all that being said, my experience with Reno's has been totally satisfying and pleasant, both on the phone and in person. I was just there last night at a Taylor Road Show, and I found the staff of Reno's, as well as the Taylor people, just as helpful and friendly as always. After the Taylor presentation, I was trying out some nylon-string guitars. It was rather noisy due to everyone else playing much louder guitars in the main part of the store. One of the Reno's sales people came to me and offered to let me take the guitars I was interested in and go into a closed room so that I could hear them better. Staff members would check on me periodically to see how I was doing and to answer any questions I might have, but not once did I feel pressured, nor did anyone make me feel as though I was a bother to them.
It is a fact that on average, people will tell 14 others about a bad experience and only one about a good experience. Here is my attempt to even out those averages a bit for an establishment that I believe merits great reviews!
Reno's Rocks!. The customer service is great. They have the newest instruments, the best equipment, and amazing teachers. These guys love what they do and have fun doing it! Many times, while I'm waiting for my lesson, one of the employees will come over and jam with me. How cool is that?!
was looking for some pedals.
went with a friend to look for pedals and get some strings, the sales guy would not leave us be, he asked several times if we needed anything, after the first couple of times it became annoying.I know he wanted to make a sale and probably would have, had he just chilled . we said we would let him know if we needed anything, but he just kept on.
the last time he asked, again we said we just wanted to look, he got annoyed and said something like "oh so you dont want me to talk to you". we left and got what we needed at guitar center.
