According to the menu, a samurai opened the first Iroha in Tokyo over a century ago and his heir opened this one in 1984 "with the same courage." Like in a Kyoto ryokan, a tiny courtyard leads to a rustic room with an open wood ceiling. Popular house specialties include abalone tataki (slabs of fish with tangled fried-brown onions) or DOC--enough-for-two dynamite over a California roll. Daily specials include exceptional, sometimes rare fish--ask the chefs for ordering advice.

My husband and I go out for sushi all the time. This was our first time at Iroha and we loved it. This is going to be our go-to sushi place from now on.

My husband and I have tried Sushi everywhere and Iroha IS THE BEST!!!! We are always sorry for trying sushi at other places afterwards. There just isn't any better sushi anywhere. The service is terrific. We love Iroha!!
Pros: Excellent quality.
Cons: I wish I could eat there everyday - but I can't.
