Good, just any other hibachi grill. Went for lunch on Saturday. It was nice enough. I've been to a lot of Japanese Hibachi Grill type of places and they all usually feel about the same. That is the case here but I don't mean that in a bad way. It was exactly what I expected and i enjoyed my visit. I will go again.
Don't go on a Saturday afternoon. I have been a regular customer for years but never went on a Saturday afternoon. I was in the area last weekend and we decided to stop in for lunch because the food is usually pretty good. We got seated and the tables usually seat 8 but this time they seated our party of 3 at a table to make 11. You could barely move, when we ask to move they seemed really put out. I told them we were willing to wait a few minutes since there were 3 empty tables and plenty of other people waiting. They said we could move but it would be at a table already with 7 making 10. It seems on Saturday afternoon they herd you like cattle with no regard for your comfort. They staff did not seem to want to be there which made it even less enjoyable, so we left and tried to talk to the manager but could not be found. Sorry to say I feel Kabuto is going the wrong direction.
My favorite!!. Kabuto is my favorite restaurant hands down! The sushi is so fresh, the eggrolls are delicious, and the hibachi is to die for! I bring everyone who visits me from out of towh to this place, as well as my local friends to Kabuto any time I get a chance. I have never met anyone who has been to Kabuto and not loved it!
Editorial Review by Christy Buena. Hibachi chefs serve up a selection of sushi and authentic Japanese dishes at reasonable prices.
very entertaining and tasty. I was nervous when I first went in, but I'm so glad I stayed. This was exceptional food and the habachi style grill was very entertaining.
User review by browb. Sushi has become my new favorite food for what it is it is wonderful! Kabuto was the second place I have tried it and it has been the best of all place. All our friends that have been sushi eaters for years come to Kabuto rather than the others.
Best we've found in this area. The sushi here was an amazing surprise. I did not expect much from this place to start, but would recomend it for sushi to anyone. Everthing tastes amazingly fresh, and the chef is good for making suggestions if you are unsure. Service is a little slow(although better than most other sushi restaurants in Indy), and the California rolls (normally a sushi staple for me and the wife) are a little bland. But I highly suggest the spicy tuna rolls, and soft shell crab rolls, and any of the ala carte sushi (cooked or raw). This is mainly a hibachi place, but they do have a small seating area up front for sushi lovers (there is also seating at the sushi bar). I've tried other places in Indy, but this has been our favorite place to go, hands down.
wonderful!!!.
This place is all around, the best!! Either the sushi bar or dining...you will love it! Prepared and cooked in front of you. To eat good expect to spend $80 to $100 for a family of 3 to 4. My 7 year old loves it and she'll chow on the sushi!!
Enjoy
